THE SAINT . . . THE SINNER

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God! I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for each of you and I pray that you are blessed by the daily messages and I know that todays message is a timely one for someone.

(Luke 18:9-14), To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.  The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: God, I thank you that I am not like other men, robbers, evildoers, adulterers or even like this tax collector.  I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get. But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, God, have mercy on me, a sinner. I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

I had to include the entire parable so that you can grasp the full understanding of today's message.  Do you remember this song?  "We fall down, but we get up . . . for a saint is just a sinners who fell down but got up?"  How does a sinner become a saint in the eyes of the Lord?  How can you fall down so many times and still be a saint in God's eyes?  Once you get up, why does the Lord call you a saint?  Why does He love you so much?

If you read the parable closely, Jesus is speaking about people that look down on others and judge them because they think that they are so righteous.  They think that they have never fallen so they are better than you.  The person (Pharisee) stood up and prayed to God saying that he was glad that he never sinned or fallen like other people and he assumed that God loved him more.  The tax collector did not see himself as a saint, he practically begged and pleaded with God to hear his prayers.  He did not even think that he deserved to be in the presence of God.  He begged God to have mercy upon him.  Jesus is saying that the tax collector has a better chance getting into heaven than the man that thought he was all that.

As long as you are humble in spirit and recognize your sins, God will exalt you before the people that have talked about you when you were down.  Even your friends that didn't help you when they saw you fall down, but they talk about how good they are and how horrible of a person you are.  God cannot use a person that is not humble in spirit.  God will humble the person that shows no compassion for others and will exalt you right before their eyes.  They will wonder why you are so blessed when you have fallen down so many times.

The reason the Lord blesses you is because you are most likely to be more humble in spirit when you are in prayer because you feel like you don't deserve the love of God.  God can use you as long as when you fall, you keep getting up.  You don't brag about all your accomplishments like the Pharisee, but you will hold your head down feeling the shame of being a sinner.  If you have friends or family members that keep record of all the bad things that you have done in your life; it's time to change the people in your circle.  If you cannot trust them to keep their mouth shut when you confide in them; it's time to change your circle of friends.  If you have people around you that think that their sin don't stink and you are worst than their are; it's time to make a change.  Some people, even your family and friends would rather keep you down by talking about you because they don't want others to see their sins.  You should be happy that you are humble in spirit, rather than God to make you humble.  GIVE GOD THE PRAISE FOR HIS MERCY AND COMPASSION!  AMEN!

ARE YOU TOO DIRTY TO PRAY?

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I speak blessings of the fullness of the Holy Spirit upon your life.  I pray that you are all blessed and highly favored of the Lord Jesus Christ.

(Psalms 32:1-2), Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven; whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit.

There was a time in my life where I thought that I was too dirty and filthy to go to God in prayer. I felt that my sexual sins and my drug abuse had kept me out of the Lord of Christ.  Maybe this has never happened to you or maybe you have not been through what I have, so I will just tell you my story today.  When I was doing so much sin on a day to day basis, there was no way that I would even have the nerve to get on my knees and prayer to God.  Why should I ask for forgiveness for something that I know that I will do again tomorrow?  Why should I ask the Lord for protection, when I know that I will go places and do things that I should not do?  Why would God watch over me, when I am premiscious and on drugs?  These were all of my concerns and the excuses as to why I could not pray. To me, the worst thing about my life was that I knew the Lord, or at least I thought I did.  I knew that He loved me, but I was not aware of the word unconditional.  When I look back over my life and the horrible things that I did, I would not have ever seen myself writing a book or ministering to women to help get them through difficult issues in their lives.  I stole, drank, slept around and did drugs, "too dirty to pray", is what I thought I was at the time. I believed that God was disgusted with me, after all, I sure was.

I was ashamed of myself.  Shame is the deep sense that you are unacceptable by friends, family and by God; because of something you did or by something that was done to you.  Even if you were sexually abused that can cause you to be in deep shame.  Shame keeps you from the love of God, because you don't think that you deserved any better.  Shame keeps you from praying to the Lord because of how you feel about yourself, NOT HOW GOD FEELS ABOUT YOU.  Let me say that again so that you will get that down in your spirit, shame keeps you from praying to the Lord because of how you feel about yourself, NOT HOW GOD FEELS ABOUT YOU.

Jesus Christ is not a man, He is God-in-the-flesh.  He took all your shame and sin and nailed it on the cross when He died.  The scripture says that your sin is covered and that is because of the blood of the Lamb of God (Jesus Christ).  Your sins are forgiven, and that is because of the blood of the Lamb of God (Jesus Christ).  As long as your spirit is not deceitful before God, you are blessed.  Jesus Christ has always touched the ones in the bible that no one else would.  He cleansed the leper, He didn't  mind when the woman with the issue of blood touch the hem of His garment because of His compassion.  GOD SAYS TO YOU TODAY, GO IN PEACE MY DAUGHTER, YOUR FAITH HAS MADE YOU WHOLE.  PRAISE GOD! AMEN!

SOMETHING TOLD ME . . .

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!  I pray that you all receive the Lord's message on today.  Keep the faith and stay strong, no matter what it looks like on the outside, God is working on the inside.  God bless you.

(Psalms 16:7-8), I will bless the Lord who has counseled me; indeed, my mind instructs me in the night.  I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Have you ever been getting ready to leave the house and something tell you, "take your umbrella?"  You look out the window and see nothing but sunny skies, so you leave the house without your umbrella.  About an hour later the clouds fill the skies with a blacken layer.  It starts to storm and you have to walk at least five minutes to your car.  Then you say to yourself, "something told me to take my umbrella, dag".  That happens a lot to people. I have learned through prayer ministry that it is best to listen to that small still voice that you hear.  If you develop a close relationship with the Lord you can depend on Him to give you guidance in everything that you do.  Everything is important all the way down to what you should wear for the day.  You may want to wear a specific pair of shoes and the Lord tells you to put on another pair.  You really want to wear the first pair, but you are also obedient to the Lord.  You wear the second pair and as you begin to put the first pair back into your closest you notice the the heel coming off and if you would have worn them they would have broken off.  That is how the Lord gives you counsel throughout the day.

If you wake up in the morning blessing the Lord, He will give you counsel throughout the day, all you have to do is listen.  If you keep your mind stayed on Jesus; He will instruct you even in the midnight hour.  Just this morning, I woke up with a horrible attitude. I was not upset with my husband, I was upset that my shoulder had been in pain all night and I am going through menopause and was wet all night, I did not sleep well at all.  I had to take a step back and think about the fact that the Lord blessed me with another day.  I did a quick attitude adjustment, read my word and continued to listen to worship music and pray.  I ask the Lord for forgiveness of my attitude and prayed that I would be able to sleep without pain tonight.  That's all I can ask for, and even if I go through the same things tonight, I am determined to wake up with a grateful attitude.

The scripture is written by David and he is saying that he has set the Lord before him (meaning that he will not go anywhere without God.  He is not going before the Lord, David is expecting the Lord to go before him and make straightway his path.  He continues on to say that he will keep the Lord by his side so that his faith will not be shaken.  No matter what the enemy throws in front of him, the Lord is before him and on the side of him, he will not fear the enemies thorns.

If you set the Lord before you every morning, there is nothing for you to fear.  Your right hand will be lifted up by the Lord and He is also in front of you giving you all of the instructions that you will need for the day.  Remember that the Lord God is continually going before you and is clearing your path to your blessings.  PRAISE GOD! AMEN!

TRIALS LEAD TO TRUST

Hello, Mighty Woman of God!  I speak blessings of the Lord's favor upon your life.  May you walk in the way of the Lord's direction daily.

If you could change anything in your life, what would you go back and change?  I have often thought about that question earlier in my ministry.  The thing is that you have to look at the bad with the good.  If I could go back in time and change the fact that I got married when I was 17 years old, then I would no have my son.  If I could go back and change the fact that I was in an abusive relationship for ten years, then I would not have had my lovely daughter.  If I could go back in time to change anything in my past, then I would not have had the trials that have made me stronger.  It is so true that what does not kill us, will make us stronger.  For some reason women seem to have gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to life's issues.  We bare children and because they are ours we will always provide for them.  We somehow make a way for them.  Even if we don't eat, we will make sure that they eat.  It is very rare that a man will leave the home and take the children with him.  It seems like it is a written law, that the children stay with mom.  Not that we mind at all, it's just that no man ever says he will take the children.  He seems to get off scott free.

I still say that God has made women much stronger than men.  Because we have to bare and care for our children.  He foreknew everything that we would have to go through.  So I wouldn't want to change anything because then I would not have the knowledge of the Lord that I do have.  Sometimes our trials puts us closer to the Lord.  Your trials will lead you to trusting in the Lord.  It doesn't matter how we get to Him, but we will eventually get there.  Do you ever notice how many women and men are in the church.  It is usually at least 70% more women than men.  We got issues and we know where to go to get some help.

I have heard people use the term,"when one door closes, God will open another door".  Think about this; sometimes the Lord has to close some doors in our lives so that it will keep the enemy out.  Sometimes He closes the door on bad relationships, on abusive relationships, on emotions stress and on people that mean us no good.  He will open another door, if you keep the other one close.  If you keep opening the door that He closes, you will never get to the door that holds all your blessings.

Now my point to this is that there is always something that you can think about that will out way the bad.  When you think about something that you have had to go through, think about what good came out of it.  Anytime that you go through something, there is always a blessings waiting on the other side. I love each of you and I pray that the Lord is working on each of you and working out your trials to become trusting in Him.  PRAISE GOD!  AMEN!

DRAW CLOSER TO GOD

Mighty Woman of God, I pray that you are all blessed and highly favored of the Lord Jesus Christ.  I speak that the Lord's grace and mercy be upon you on today.

(2 Chronicles 7:15-16), "Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place, I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever.  My eyes and my heart will always be there."

Relationship - A sate of connectedness between people; closeness Personal - peculiar or proper to private concerns. (Webster's New College Dictionary; Third Edition).

Woman of God, the Lord desires to have a relationship with you.  Not just to hear your request r hear you read off your list of things that you want Him to do for you today.  The more time that you spend with the Lord, the closer your relationship with Him will be.  You will find yourself walking in the Lord's favor everyday.

There are a numerous of you ladies that desire to have a closer relationship with God.  This is not an impossible request.  The one thing that you have to remember is that God also wants to have a closer relationship with you.  The both of you desire to have the same thing.  The one thing that I think people tend to miss the mark is because you don't let the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of the Lord), have His way in your life.  You cannot put God in a box.  You have to be willing to do whatever it takes to have a relationship with Him.  Do you remember when you first met your husband or boyfriend?  You would call them everyday and you miss them when they were not in your presence for a long period of time.  You spent a lot of time together building a relationship to see if He was the right person for you to spend the rest of your life with.

This is the same way that you have to woo God.  You have to spend time with Him, call on Him everyday and you will begin to miss Him when He is not in your presence.  You have to spend a lot of time together, building a relationship with Christ because He is the one that you desire to spend the rest of your life with.  A lot of people say that they don't hear God speaking to them.  Yes you do.  It is that small still voice in your mind (your conscience).  Once you have a personal relationship with God you will be able to immediately determine God's voice from your own.  Also remember the devil will never tell you to do or say anything that will benefit God.  For instance, you are at church and you hear the Lord tell you to give money to the person next to you.  The devil will never tell you to bless someone else.  The bible says, "my sheep know my voice".  This means that when you hear a voice telling you to do or say something that will glorify God that is His voice.  One more thing, the Lord is saying that His eyes and ears will always be there for you; will you be there to hear Him?  The more time that you spend with God, the more personal your relationship with one another will become closer.  Just as you spend time with your spouse or close friend you talk to them everyday, treat God better than your spouse or friends.  Put no man before the Lord God.  PRAISE GOD! AMEN!

PONDERING ON THE PAST

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I speak blessings of peace and joy upon your life. No matter what you are going through in your life that the Lord is working it out for your good.

(Philippians 3:13-14), Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Woman of God, the Lord wants you to keep pressing forward towards Him.  Yesterday is the past and whatever you have done wrong, keep pressing towards the present.  Whatever issues you have had to deal with, keep pressing forwards towards Him, which is your high calling.  Sometimes at the end of the day, we all tend to look back and ponder over all the things that we did earlier.  We think about what we could have done to make something better or we ponder on what we could have done to make someone else's life better.  Did you say the wrong thing?  Did you do the wrong things?  Why is this person mad at us?  Whatever the question is at the end of the day, don't ponder on it, it is the end of the day.  You can never go back.  Don't ponder on the broken promises that you have made to the Lord.  He already knew it was going to happen, so He is not mad about it.  So Christ is not sitting at the right hand of God the Father, saying, "I didn't know she would do that, she caught me be surprise".

Maybe you have done something so horrible in your past and you are constantly asking for the Lord's forgiveness.  He has already forgiven you, you have to forgive yourself.  That is the past and the Lord does not want you to ponder on the past.  The Lord's desire for you is that you press towards the mark and finish the race that you have already started.  This is the one thing that Paul does, reaching for the things that are ahead of him.  You have to reach towards the blessings that God has for you.  If you are pondering on the past, then you are looking backwards and you cannot see what God has for your future (what's in your future).

Always try to do better each day that the Lord has blessed you with another day.  But never ponder on what has already happened.  Pray for the Lord's forgiveness and move on, that is what the Lord is doing, forgetting and moving you on to the future.  If you have done something or said something that doesn't sit well with you at the end of the day, you should apologize to that person and keep moving forward.  Pondering on a horrible past or things that you may have lost or gained because of your past, move forward.  The Lord is not pondering on your past, you should not ponder on your past either. PRAISE GOD! AMEN!

GOD'S COMPASS

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I pray that you are all blessed on today.  I speak blessings of peace and joy upon your life and may the Lord continue to be with you as you seek after Him.
(Proverbs 3:1-6), My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commands; For the length of days and long life and peace they will add to you. Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around you neck, write them on the tablet of your heart, And so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man.  Trust in the Lord with all heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
When I was in the Girl Scouts, we would often go on camping trips.  One of the things that we had to have in our packs was a compass.  A compass will get you where to need to be whenever you are going in the wrong direction.  If you do not have a compass, you will have to rely on your own knowledge of directions.
The first part of the scripture the Lord is admonishing us to remember what He has said in His word by reading the Word of God and keep in close to your heart.  You cannot keep His commands in your heart if you don't know what the Word of God says.  The length of your days does not necessary mean that you will live until you are ninety years old, but the Lord is saying that as long as you live His peace will be with you all the days of your life.  Don not let mercy and truth forsake you; bind them in your heart means to always stay connected with the Lord by having the ability to remember scriptures (what the Word says) about your situation.  Doing that will keep you in the favor of God and you will be highly esteemed.  Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding, acknowledge the Lord in everything that you do and He shall direct your paths.  Meaning the Lord's understanding is far more than we could ever imagine, so don't try to understand why the Lord is working the way He is concerning your circumstances.  Acknowledge Him, meaning pray daily making your request known to Him, praise and worship and He will be your compass giving directions for your life.
Woman of God, the Word of God (your bible) is God's compass.  Read your bible everyday, study your bible everyday and you will not get lost but you will know which direction the Lord wants you to take.  PRAISE THE LORD!  AMEN!
