THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS

Mighty Woman of God!  I pray that the Spirit of the Lord rest upon you and your family. I speak peace and joy into your life and that you are blessed and highly favored of the Lord as you follow after Him.

(Psalms 17:8-9 and 27:5), Keep me as the apple of thine eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings, From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about. (27:5), For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me, he shall set me up upon a rock.

First of all, let me just say this; these are some of my favorite scriptures.  If you really study those scriptures and believe exactly what the Word is saying, then you will always find peace in God.  When I was a young adult there were times when the troubles of this life had such a hold on me and I thought that I would never come out.  I was definitely "Young and Restless", knowing that God would hide me under His wings gave me a sense of hope and security.  I would imagine myself sitting under God's wings where the troubles of life would not even see me.

If you have a relationship with God, then you also have the same protection.  God considers you the apple of His eye and hidden under the shadow of His wings from your enemies does not have to be just people.  It can also include things that you are suffering from, health issues, deliverance and even abuse problems.  God has a way of keeping you hidden until He is ready to release you out into the public.  While you are hidden in the pavilion, He is working on your character, your discernment, deliverance, health, your spirit and anything else that you will need to fight the good fight in this world.

The reason why this message is titled, "The Young and the Restless", is because in your twenties you are considered a young adult.  This is the period in your life where you have left your home and have ventured out into the world.  A lot of people always tell their parents, "I can't wait to leave this house". Then you find out that you have been protected by your parents from the real world.  This world can be a very scary place for some of us.  Even if you leave home and attend college, you still have to make your own decisions, make your own mistakes and correct your own mistakes.  Maybe you got pregnant before you had anticipated and now the dreams that you had as a child have to be put on hold or you have to completely change your direction in life.  Whatever direction that you have chosen, at some point in time you will be "Young and Restless". It is so easy for young adults to feel defeated by life's curves, turns, tricked and scammed by some man, that says he loves you.

Sometimes it may seems like no matter what you do you are in the enemies territory.  There was a moment in my life where I was going through hell, I mean I thought that I was never going to come out.  My boss told me, "One day you will look back on this moment and laugh".  I looked at her like I wanted to jump across her desk and strangle her.  I thought to myself, "I will never look back on this and laugh'.  Well, she was right.  I don't exactly laugh about the situation, but it is over and that situation will never come back again.

Whatever you are going through, it will end, as long as you trust in God and let Him handle it.  It is very hard to do that because we don't see what God sees.  We see how horrible the problems is now, but God sees the outcome.  It seems like as soon as you overcome one mountain, here comes another, "The Young and the Restless", what do you do?  It is easy to become "Young and Restless" when you are going through troubles, as you grow in God, He will give you a spirit of discernment.  You need discernment if you are going to make it through this life.  Discernment can keep you out of some of the situations that you encounter. When things get to the point where you really get restless, remember (Psalms 17:5) and imagine yourself resting in the wings of God.  Hidden from all life's problems.  The bible says that God knows the thoughts He has towards you and they are that you prosper and not fall.  His Word does not return to Him void.  Meaning, since you are the apple of His eye, He has sent His Word out concerning you and whatever He decrees then it is so. I promised you, what you think is the worst thing that you can handle, it's nothing compared to what lye's ahead.  So you mind as well gird up your loins, wipe your tears and keep on moving, you'll make it.  Even in my late forties, there are times that I bury my head in my hands and think that I cannot make it any further, then Psalms 17:5 comes into my heart.  Read that scripture and put your name, make it personal.  PRAISE GOD!

TOO MANY RULES

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God! I pray that you are all blessed today.  I speak blessings of peace and love in your life.  God bless you, richly.
(Proverbs 22: 17-19), Pay attention and listen to the sayings of the wise; apply your heart to what I teach, for it is pleasing when you keep them in your heart and have all of them ready on your lips.  So that your trust may be in the Lord, I teach you today, even you.
I have heard a lot of people say that they did not want to be a Christian because there are too many rules to follow.  They think of God as some big judge, writing down every single thing that they do wrong.  God is not taking notes, He already had the notes before you were even in existence.  In fact, if God were taking notes, He would have run out of paper just on me alone.

Being a Christian is not a religion, it is a way of life.  It simply means that you have decided to try to live a Christ-like life, a life that is pleasing to the Lord God.  God is not caught up in whether or not you are following all the rules, He is concerned about your soul.  The reason why Jesus Christ died and rose again was because you won’t be able to follow all the rules.  Christ stands in that gap between us and our Heavenly Father.
Being a Christian can be a lot of fun. Try settling in a church on a regularly basis and getting involved in some activities.  You will find out that you can have a lot of fun.  The music is not the same.  These days all you hear on the radio is "let me rub you down, get in between your thighs and lick you up".  Try getting high on Jesus instead of drugs.  Becoming addicted to Jesus Christ leads to life, addicted to drugs leads to death.
Let me tell you something, when I walked down that aisle in church to give my life to Christ Jesus with the pastor holding his arms out to welcome me and my family into the kingdom of God, I did not go home and throw away all my weed, give up buying cocaine, and pour my tequila down the sink.  That was me and I'm not ashamed to tell you that if it means that you will work harder each day to leave the worldly things behind.  And out of all the steps I took meaning 12-Step program meetings, I fell down the stairs, got back up to take 2 more, fell down 3 and back up again.  It was not until I started attending Sunday church service and bible study that I was delivered from drugs and drinking.  If it had not been for my Lord watching over me, I would be dead.  It seems like He was watching me and saying to the Father, "she's going to come, she's going to be my Prophetess,".

This is a spiritual journey and you will make mistakes, but God is so compassionate and merciful that He gives us grace and mercy. He is not taking notes.  It's the devils job to make you think that being a Christian is no fun.  Living an ungodly life may be fun for right now, but what are you going to do when Jesus Christ comes back for His bride?

Heavenly Father, I give thanks to you on today for my life.  Thank you Lord for watching over me even when I didn't want you to see what I was doing.  Thank you Father for keeping Your promise even though I didn't keep all my promises to You.  Father, I pray that you lead me each day that you wake me up.  Thank you for Your love, Your compassion, Your mercy, and Your grace that you show towards me and my family each day.  I love you Lord and I want to do what's right in Your sight.  Thank you Father for loving me even when I don't always do what is right, in Jesus name, Amen.

DISTRACTED

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I pray that this message will be a blessing to you and that you are blessed and highly favored of the Lord God today.

There are at least 30 new members in the ministry and I have always said that I am going to be honest with you even when it comes to letting you in my past.  Whatever it takes to minister to you.
I dedicated my life to the Lord Jesus Christ when I was 19 years old.  I was not in a relationship when I was in my early 20's, so I thought that I was lonely.  (I used the key word thought).  I remember praying to God that He would send me someone to feel my time, someone that would make me happy.  About a couple of weeks later, I met my second husband.  I was definitely busy and he did feel my time with things.  I was introduced to cocaine and then I learned how to put it on blunts and hide it in my cigarettes.  I was abused physically, emotionally and mentally.  I was definitely busy, wouldn't you say?  In fact, I was busy for about 10 years.  I was distracted.

The enemy sent me a man that kept me from praying and even going to church.  I went to work on drugs and somehow managed to take care of my two children, on drugs.  I was in places that I would never had been, if it were not for drugs.  I looked over a lot of things in my life while I was addicted.  I spent time in rat infested houses just to do drugs.  Just by looking at me, you probably would never notice.  I was a working class addict.
Once I started living right and got back into the church, I realized why the devil wanted to keep me distracted.  God had a ministry for me and gifts He wanted to give to me.  The devil knew that as long as he could keep me distracted, I would never began my ministry.  The ministry that God anointed me for, would reak havoc in the kingdom of hell.  The more I learned about spiritual warfare, I realized that the devil tried to kill me.  To whom much is given, much is required.  That is definitely a true statement.

Woman of God, if you are at a point in your life where the devil seems to be reaking havoc, it is because he wants to keep you distracted.  As longs as Satan can keep you concentrating on the things of this world, he will keep you from the blessings of God.  There is a ministry that God wants to birth in you and the devil knows it and he is trying to keep you distracted.  He wants you to be distracted, worrying about your finances, children and your marriage.  He wants to keep you distracted, on drugs, drinking and partying so much that you won't even notice just how bad your life really is.  Satan wants to keep you distracted by using any means necessary, so that you will not be in the ministry that God has for you.  He wants to keep you distracted, so that darkness will overshadow the light of the Lord.  The more blessings that God has for you, the bigger the distractions in your life.

If you are going through a lot of turmoil in your life, it is because the devil needs for you to be distracted.  He is throwing everything but the kitchen sink in your path.  He knows that as long as certain people are in your life to keep you busy, you will be distracted.

If you are distracted, it is time for you to be released from the hands of the devil.  It is time for you to start your ministry.  In fact, some of you that will read this message know that you have a ministry inside of you that needs to be birth.  Everytime you try to pick yourself up, the enemy pushes you back down.  You take two steps towards God and he pushes you back three steps.  The devil is cunning, wicked and very deceitful.  Don't let the devil keep you distracted any longer.  It's time for you to go forward and not look back.  Move forward into the ministry and spiritual gifts that God has ordained for you.  I need for you to realize that you are going through so many problems in your life is because the devil knows who you will become in God's Kingdom.  He knows that as soon as you are released from bondage, you will reak havoc in the kingdom of hell.  LET US PRAY!

Heavenly Father, I ask you for forgiveness for my sins. Father God, I pray for the women that are distracted by the enemy for their release.  I speak freedom and liberty upon their lives in the name of Jesus.  I pray for the women  that can't feel your presence in their lives, Lord that they realize that you will never leave nor forsake them.  You are waiting on them, you have kept them safe through some things they never know existed.  Lord I pray for the women in abusive relationships, that they will gain peace and strength to come to you God, in Jesus name, Amen.

CARBON COPY

Good morning, to my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.

(Proverbs 10:22)

I thought about having a good man on my side.  I prayed that God would send me a man.  My exact words were, "God, please send me a man".  Within a weeks time, I thought that my prayers were answered by God.  But instead, Satan sent me a carbon copy of the man that God had for me.  I say that the enemy heard my prayers, very loudly and kept me in bondage and tormented for over ten years.

Having a form of godliness. You can't change the original.  No matter how many times you look at that carbon copy, you cannot change it to be the original.  Satan is very cunning and will not hesitate to send you a form of a godly man.  He will not hesitate to send you a carbon copy of the man that you desire to have as your husband.  If you wait on the Lord to send you the man that He has already chosen for you, before you were even in existence, you will get the original version.

What makes you think that God would send you a carbon copy of the man/woman that He has picked out for you?  What makes you think that God wants for you to shack up with someone that beats you in your face.? What makes you think that God wants you to live in bondage with a woman/man?  What makes you think that God wants you to be beat on, cheated on and cursed out everyday?

Women tend to put up with a lot of things from a man waiting for that carbon copy to become an original. God will not send you His best if you don't act like His best.  The blessings of the Lord, make you rich and He adds no sorrow.

If you are in a relationship that is tormenting you, tormenting your spirit, maybe it's time for you to look for that blessing that adds no sorrow for your life.

THE MERCY RULE

Good morning, Mighty Woman of God!  I pray that you are all blessed and highly favored of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

I love the message that the Holy Spirit gave me today.  I think you'll be blessed as well.

(Romans 9:14-16), What then shall we say?  Is God unjust?  Not at all! For he says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."  It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy.

I was a softball coach for a little while and my girls were such sweethearts but they were new to playing softball.  When the teams were picked the organization gave me the task of raising up a new team.  Anyway, my sweetheart girls couldn't hit a softball, catch a softball nor did we know all the rules.  With that being said, I learned that there was something called a 'mercy rule'.

One day the umpire shouted out the 'mercy rule' was now in effect for my sweetheart girls.  I asked, "What is the mercy rule?"  The ump explained to me that it's when a team is getting beat so bad that only three girls from the other team can bat or score a run.  Boy, did we fall in love with the 'mercy rule'.

I ended up keeping the same girls from four years and we got good.  We ended up being an undefeated team.  We learned all the rules and we practiced more.  Eventually we had to show mercy to other teams.

That's how God treats the newly saved believer in Christ.  When we first get saved, we are in a state where we are mostly likely coming out of a bad situation and working towards becoming a better person.  We don't understand all the rules because we just began attending church service or bible study and for some of us we are trying really hard not to mess up but we find that it is impossible.

The bible says that satan goes to and from the earth and heaven accusing the saints of everything.  Picture this: satan whispering in God's ear all of our mistakes, every time and picture Jesus Christ as He sits at the right hand of God the Father shaking His head and saying, the 'mercy rule' is in effect for her I redeemed her and pretty soon she's going to be the one I chose to bring in other sheep.  PRAISE GOD!

DIVINE PERSPECTIVE

Good morning, Mighty Woman of God, I pray that you are blessed and highly favored by our Lord Jesus Christ as you follow after Him.

I am sharing with you my reading today from the Daily Bread.  Read Habakkuk 2:2-14

Jason took a trip to New York during spring break.  One afternoon he and some friends piled into a cab and headed for the Empire State Building.  To Jason, the ride on the ground seemed chaotic and dangerous.  But when he got to the observation deck of the skyscraper and looked down on the city streets, to his amazement he saw order and design.  What a difference a change in perspective made!

Habakkuk learned a similar lesson.  When he looked at life from his earthly vantage point, it seemed that God was indifferent to the evil permeating society (Hab. 1:2-4).  But God gave him a divine perspective and showed him that life is more than what it seems.  The deeds of men cannot thwart the purposes of God.

Those who don't show any regard for God may seem to prosper at the moment, but God will ultimately right all wrong.  God acts sovereignly in all that comes to pass so that everything works toward His good purpose.  God's plan will surely take place and be on schedule.

We can't sort out the whole picture from where we are in life; only God can.  So let us continue to live by faith and not by sight.  From His perspective, all things are working together for the believer's good and for His honor. - By Poh Fang Chia

GRAIN ON THE MOUNTAINTOP

Good morning, Mighty Woman of God.  I pray that today's message will be a blessing to you.  And that you are blessed and highly favored by our Lord Jesus Christ and that you prosper in all that you do, as you seek after Him.

Well, we're still in the Book of Proverbs but I'm going to post something that was a blessing to me, from Our Daily Bread, reading that I do daily.

Solomon, who wrote Psalm 72, asked God for "an abundance of grain  . . . on the top of the mountains," to characterize his reign as King.  If grain on the mountain is so unusual, what is Solomon suggesting?  That God's power can produce results in even the most unpromising soil?

Perhaps you think of yourself as a little person, with very little to bring to the kingdom.  Take courage: God can produce an abundant harvest through you.  This is one of the ironies of faith:  God uses the insignificant to accomplish the great.  Not many of us are wise or noble; most of us are anonymous and far from extraordinary.  Yet all of us can be used.  And contrary to what we might think, it is because of our weakness that we can be used by God (1 Cor. 1:27-29; 2Cor. 12:10).

It is possible to be too big or proud for God to use, but we can never be too little.  "Out of weakness" we are "made strong" (Heb. 11:34).  By God's great power, we can do all that He has called us to do.

Pray:  Lord, You work through such common things, those of us with flaws and weaknesses.  We are in awe of Your power and humbled by Your choice of us.  Our hearts long to be faithful to You.
