PEER PRESSURE

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I speak blessings of peace and joy upon your lives.  I pray that you are all blessed and highly favored and that the ministry has been a blessing to you.
(1 Corinthians 15:58), Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm.  Let nothing move you.  Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you knw that your labor in the ord is not in vain.

Christians deal with a lot of peer pressure.  Once you have decided to dedicate your life to Jesus Christ, your friends and family that are not saved, will always try to pressure you into doing the same old things.  They don't want you to try to change.  For some reason, being a Christian can be intimidating to people that are not Christians.  Peer pressure comes in because just like your friends don't want you to change your life, neither does Satan.  He will use your peers to try to keep you in darkness and keep you from getting delivered from things that you need to give up in order to live righteous before the Lord.  Christians deal with a lot of peer pressure because the enemy knows that he just lost a soul and Christ has gained a sheep.
Sometimes we tend to try to play both sides of the fence.  When want to keep our friends that we know we should not hang around, and we want to praise and worship the Lord.  It's very difficult to play both sides of the fence.  I tried it and it doesn't work.  What will happen is that the greater spirit will eventually win your soul.  If you are having difficulty dealing with peer pressure, keep going to church.  Keep your bible even closer because the enemy will try to use people to keep you from fulfilling God's purpose for your life.  Your peers don't even know that the enemy is using them to keep you from reaching your destiny in Christ.  If you are dealing with peer pressure, pray that the Lord God will put people in your life that will be able to keep you lifted up and will accept your decision to become a Christian.  Pray that God will lead you to the right people that will be able to make positive deposits in your life and not withdraws.
We all have experienced peer pressure once we got saved.  Once you become a Christian, your desire is to change, that is why you made the choice to be a Christian, but the change can be difficult if you don't have the right type of people around you.  You still want to hang out at the club with your friends, but on the other hand you want to do what is right before God.  You don't want them to start talking about you behind your back, but if they do it because you have decided to be a Christian, then the truth of the matter is that they always did talk behind your back.  Now they just talk about something different.  If you are hanging around people that prefer that you to stay the same way, that's peer pressure.
Once I decided to give my life fully to the Lord, I mean make a decision to stop partying, doing drugs and drinking the peers in my life changed.  God gave me some new friends.  God gave me a new dance and song in my heart.  I never looked down on people, I just knew what I wanted for my life and that was to fulfill God's purpose for me.  I wanted a change, my peers didn't want me to change because they thought that I thought that I was better than them.  I never gave them a thought at all.  If you are dealing with peer pressure, I understand.  I also understand how hard it is to give up your old nature.  It's like turning in your old wardrobe for new clothes.  You don't know how they are going to look when you put them on, but you know that you want a change.  God bless you.

CLIMBING MOUNTAINS

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I pray that each of you are having a blessed day!  No matter what obstacles you have to hurdler over know that you can jump high with the strength that God has given unto you.

(Matthew 17:20), And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.  Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

In this scripture the disciples wanted to know why they could not cast the demon out of the man's son.  Jesus says to them that they did not have enough faith.  I am thinking that because of the boy's demon, the disciples had never seen it before, so in their minds they had already been defeated.

Woman of God, a lot of times we tend to look at our situation and develop a mindset that we are already defeated.  Sometimes the mountain may be something that you never had to deal with before and you have a defeated mentality.  Maybe you are saying that you do have faith to yourself, but deep down inside, you feel defeated.  If you already feel defeated the enemy knows that and he will try to make your situation destroy your faith in the Lord.

If something goes wrong in your mind and you are thinking that God did not answer your prayer, maybe you should consider that just because things didn't go the way that you had hoped for does not mean that God is not moving mountains on your behalf.   The point that I am trying to make is that God knows the outcome way before it happens.  He knows everything and you must have faith that He has looked at your circumstances and has determined that you need to climb over the mountain instead of Him removing it out of your way.

You see, a lot of times we look at that scripture and expect God to move that mountain out of the way.  If God does not move that mountain (whatever is in your way of your blessing), then He will equip you with whatever you need to climb it.  It is easier to have the mountain removed, but if you have to climb that mountain you will have gained more strength.  You will have gained strength in your prayer life and strength in your relationship with God because you will need Him more while you are climbing over the circumstances in your life.

Some mountains God will remove, there are some mountains He wants you to climb and some that He wants you to walk through.  While you are climbing, He knows that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.  God knows that you will need perseverance in the next level of your spiritual journey.  Perseverance produces character, character produces hope.  You have to have faith and trust in the Lord that He is working everything out for your good.  God will not have you climb a mountain without giving you exactly what you need to overcome it.  If you have to climb instead of easily walking through or going around, rejoice in the Lord because He is getting ready to bless you abundantly when you get to the other side.  Your promise is on the other side of the mountain.  Your blessing is on the other side of the mountain.  You cannot see what's on the other side, but because of your obediance your promises and blessings are there.  Amen!

GREED

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I thank the Lord for each of you daily.  My prayer for you is that you are growing in the ministry and have been and will continue to be blessed and highly favored of the Lord Jesus Christ.

(Matthew 26:14-16), Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.

Jesus had twelve disciples that journeyed with him throughout the land.  They observed Him pray for people and stood and watched miracles happen right before their very eyes.  There was not doubt in their mind that Jesus of Nazareth was the Messiah.  They knew that Jesus Christ was the Son of the Living God.  They were in the boat when a tremendous storm was about to overtake the boat and drown them.  They saw and heard Jesus speak to the sea, "peace be still".  "What kind of man is this that even the sea obeys Him, was the question they asked themselves.

Judas was among one of the twelve disciples that Jesus had with him on a daily basis.  So the question is, what would make a man that has seen so many miracles performed by Christ betray him?  One simple answer, GREED!  A spirit of greed will make you do things that you would have never thought was in your character.  For some reason, we always want more.  We tend to want more than we need and don't even think about giving to someone else in fear that we will not replace what we have given away.

The point that I am trying to get to today is that some of us have items stored away in our possession that we no longer want or need.  Instead of donating them to a charity, we just keep pushing the items back further in the closest.  You have grown two sizes and you are waiting to be able to fit those clothes again so you will not donate them to people that have nothing.  You have items stored in the basement and you won't give them away in fear that you will need them in five years.  Don't you understand that your blessings come from giving?  The bible says, "give and it shall be given unto you".  If you give away two suits, the Lord will give you four more.

There are women in homeless or abuse shelters that have left their homes with nothing but the clothes on their backs.  Their children had to leave their toys and clothes.  When they are in the process of gaining their lives back, they need clothes to go on interviews and items to start living in a new apartment.  Just think about that for a moment.

Cain killed his brother Abel because of greed.  Abel didn't have as much, but he gave his best, therefore God accepted his gift and not Cain's.  God knew that Cain had more, but Cain didn't want to give his best.  Judas betrayed Jesus Christ for thirty pieces of silver that he didn't get a chance to spend.  He committed suicide because he couldn't live with what he had done.

My challenge for you today is to look around your house and take inventory. Be honest with yourself about the items that you know you don't or won't wear again. Take a look at pots and pans that you could donate. Also, never give anybody something that you wouldn't want for yourself. What good is it to give away something that is torn or broken, if you do that you have done nothing. When you give something away to be a blessing it should be your best.  You will never know when you will be at a point in your life when you are in need.  Amen!

CHRISTIAN STONES

Good morning, Mighty Woman of God!

Yep, that's exactly what each of you are, mighty woman.  No matter what's going on in your life right now, you are mighty, your weapons of warfare are mighty.  I speak blessings of joy upon each of you today.

(Psalms 54:10), Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me:

The message today may step on some toes.  I want you to keep an open mind as you read this one on today.  If you are convicted in your spirit, then the message is going to help you, not hurt you.  God wants you to be perfected in this area, if you are convicted by the Holy Spirit.  When I give a message like this one, I don't want to lose any of you, but on the other hand, I must give it the way that God gives it to me.  If it will make you fill any better, I had to have this message taught to me at a time that I thought I was all that.  So here we go!

What are Christian stones?  Christian stones are those soft subtle stones we throw at each other.  It's those phony smiles and hugs we give to each other in the church.  Christians have a way of hurting each other more than those outside of the church.  Christian stones is all that judging that we do to each other.  Then we have the nerve to say, "well, I don't mean no harm".  Yes you do.  You mean every bit of harm that you do, unless you are an infant that doesn't no any better.  Sometimes you say, "I didn't mean it like that".  Well, how did you mean to say it?

Christian stones is also that gossiping on the phone when you are supposed to be praying for someone on the prayer line.  It's that look we give to the First Lady because she has on a nice outfit.  A Christian stone is the envy you have in your heart because you didn't get the solo this week.  They are the wickedness you hide in your heart from others that think that you are a good person, they think you really mean it when you say, "God bless you, sister so and so.

Christians can be so judgmental towards people.  You judge people all the time.  You judge people in the church that may smell like alcohol in service.  You judge their circumstances when they confide in you.  You really can't be trusted because your heart isn't right.  Instead of praying for them, you turn your nose up like you have never been delivered from anything.  We judge people out of the church, thinking that we are more superior, because we went to church this morning.  Instead of praying for their souls you are throwing your subtle remarks like, "we are you going to get saved?"  Maybe your neighbor is not saved because she knows what type of a person that you really are on the inside.

We make excuses for ourselves when we sin, we justify our sins and our bad behavior.  The Lord knows what is in your heart no matter who you think you are hiding your inner most thoughts from.  Your inner most thoughts about a person is exactly where the Lord wants you to be perfected.  It's not enough to just say, "well the Lord knows my heart".  Well, He surely does and He knows that there is no good coming from it.  Let's try to fix your heart.  The next time that you have something negative to say about your spouse, friends, co-workers, brothers and sisters in Christ, think about what you are thinking in your heart.  It's those times when you don't say it out loud, but in your heart you are full of spite, rude, hatred, bitterness towards a person.  That is the innermost part that the Lord wants to work on.  Let God create in you a clean heart and a right spirit with you.  Amen!

WHEN YOU STUMBLE

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

(Psalms 37:23-24), If the Lord delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.

I pray that you are all blessed and highly favored of the Lord Jesus Christ on today.  I hope that today's message will be a blessing to you as well.

When you stumble, why not say, "if you stumble?"  It would be unrealistic for me to assume that you would never stumble at some point in your spiritual journey.  You will stumble, that's a given.  We all stumble at some time, even the most elect in the churches.  We are imperfect people and therefore we are always doomed to that awful thing called "sin".

When I got baptized into the Body of Christ, I immediately thought that all my sins were washed away as soon as I came up from that pool.  The bible says, all things are new, the old has passed away and that I would be a new creature in Christ.  That is exactly what I was expecting, right then and there, right on the spot.  I thought that the moment I decided to give my life to Christ and follow Him that all my sins were gone.  I thought that as soon as I left the church, I would not smoke, drink or do any drugs. I also thought that all those things fell off in the pool.  Boy, was I sadly mistaken.  I actually had to work at keeping myself away from those things and any other sins that I would commit.

As soon as I left the church, I got in the car and had my cigarette.  Why didn't this stay in that pool of water?  Once I got home, I slipped into my comfortable clothes and smoke a joint.  Why didn't that stay in that pool of water.  I wasn't done yet, I had to have my drink, that didn't stay in the pool either, imagine that.  What did I get for being baptized?  What special powers do I have?  This is exactly what I was thinking.  I later came to realize that I did have power, but I did not know anything about the power of the Holy Spirit or how to use it.  So to me, all I got was really wet.

Well, I mind as well keep going to church.  It's not that far from the house and I did like the pastor and the choir.  I had a great time at church when it came to fellowship with the other saints.  I kept going back, I just kept going back.  Sunday after Sunday, then Bible study after Bible Study.  Eventually the power that I was expecting finally showed up.  I begin to get convicted of those things that I just wasn't ready to leave at the altar.  That power was the Holy Spirit and He wasn't giving up on me without a fight.  Thank God.

I stood at the altar and had hands laid upon me three times for drugs, twice for alcohol and I can't even count how many times for cigarettes.  Each time that I would get up off that purple carpet, I thought things just magically disappeared.  Nope, they don't.  I stumbled again and again, until finally I had to make up in my own mind that I was worth more.  I had to come to the realization that I was valuable to Christ.

Woman of God, don't you spend time worrying about how many times you stumble, as long as you don't fall.  If you are having trouble with a particular sin in your life, keep stepping and the Lord will take care of it.  You were not made to fall.  Don't let the enemy trick you into thinking that God is not going to kept helping you.  Yes, He will, if you keep going back.  Think about how many times you help your own children that you love.  God loves you more than that so just keep on stepping.  The bible says that a just man will fall seven times before he finally get it.  So you will stumble, its in your nature, but you have to make a conscience decision that you are going to be a fighter; not only will you be a fighter, but you will be a winner.  You will receive that crown in the end. I don't even want to entertain the thought that what if I just stayed down and gave up my birth right.  If you stay down you are giving up your birth right, your inheritance, your place in heaven.

The scripture clearly states that the Lord will make your step's firm, if He delights in you.  The Lord delights in you every time He sees you trying.  He will not let you fall, He will uphold you with His hands.  Praise God!  Amen!
