THROWING STONES

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I pray for you daily.  I pray that you are being blessed by the Lord's messages.  You will always be a work in progress, so don't ever give up on yourself.

John 8:3) And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him, Master this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.  (John 8:7) So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

You ever felt like people are constantly  throwing stones at you? No matter what you do or say; no matter how good you try to treat other, someone else will definitely throw stones.  The phrase our ancestors us to say is "people who live in glass houses should not throw stones."

Jesus says the same thing, "He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone."  They wanted to stone this woman to death because she committed adultery.  In the Old Testament under Moses' law, the towns people would tie you up and throw stones at you until you were dead.  Remember there is nothing you can do that would have Jesus want to throw stones at you.  In this scripture Jesus is saying that no one not one is without sin.

Today people are so quick to throw stones at you because it keeps the focus off of their sin.  As soon as you make the decision to get saved and try to start living for Christ that's when the enemy comes.  Your friends will want you to stay the way that they are (lost).  You still want to hang out with them because they are your friends.  But now you don't enjoy the same things because you are trying to live righteous.  They begin to polk fun at you and make it seem like you think you are better than they are.  You don't treat them differently, but they treat you differently.  You no longer want to get high or hang out at bars until closing time.  So now they are talking about you and you don't fit in anymore.

Don't let stones that people throw at you, keep you from studying and Word of God and wanting to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord.  What happens is that your friends that are not saved see their sins more clearly.  You don't mention their sins, but because you are saved, their conscience is convicting them through you.  They don't want to hang out with someone that makes them feel like they are sinning.  LET US PRAY!

Heavenly Father, I thank you for my life today.  Lord, I pray that you have mercy upon me and that I have your favor upon my life.  Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me from a life of sin.  I thank you that you don't throw stones at me when I mess up.  Lord, I want to have a closer walk with you, please remove any hinderances from my life that keeps me from doing what is right, in Jesus name, Amen.
