WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE, CHARACTER BUIDING

Good morning.  I thank God for each of you and that you are continuously supporting the ministry by reading the devotional blogs.  My prayer for you is that you are being blessed and I able to push forward a little bit more in your spiritual journey.

Just in case you are reading our Proverbs teaching for the first time, I will tell you that the Lord has given me the assignment to go through the Book of Proverbs to build us up in wisdom, and build our character.  The entire Book of Proverbs is about moral, wisdom, knowledge and character building.

(Proverbs 3:5-6), Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

I can't tell you how many people I talk to say that's their favorite scripture.  Everyone has a least one favorite scripture that we reflect on when things are going totally wrong.  If you don't have at least one favorite scripture that you repeat to yourself in times of trouble, make that a priority on your list.

Anyway, seeing that it's one of your favorite scriptures, do you really rely on that when things are seeming to go wrong.  Now I am saying seeming.  If we truly trust in the Lord with all of our hearts, then the storm in our lives are not storms at all.  All of have had times in our lives where we don't think that we can make it another day.  Whether it's health problems, money, love, tragedy or losing a loved one.  We cry and just don't think we can stand the pain one more minute.

That's the time when we truly have to lean not on our own understandings.  Our limited understanding of our issues and circumstances only allows us to see the here and now.  We don't see that behind the scenes the Lord is working it out for our good.  Acknowledging God in all of our ways, gets us to that point in not trusting what our eyes see, our heart feels or what our health issues are.  How do we acknowledge God in all our ways?  Praise and worship. Those simple words, will allow us to truly trust in the Lord with all of our hearts.  AMEN!

Heavenly Father, I thank you for making my paths straight and for your guidance and leading me through the unknown.  Father I thank you that even when I can't see You working things out for my good, that by Your Spirit, I can feel your presence and I trust in You, in Jesus name, Amen.
