TOO MANY RULES

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God! I pray that you are all blessed today.  I speak blessings of peace and love in your life.  God bless you, richly.
(Proverbs 22: 17-19), Pay attention and listen to the sayings of the wise; apply your heart to what I teach, for it is pleasing when you keep them in your heart and have all of them ready on your lips.  So that your trust may be in the Lord, I teach you today, even you.
I have heard a lot of people say that they did not want to be a Christian because there are too many rules to follow.  They think of God as some big judge, writing down every single thing that they do wrong.  God is not taking notes, He already had the notes before you were even in existence.  In fact, if God were taking notes, He would have run out of paper just on me alone.

Being a Christian is not a religion, it is a way of life.  It simply means that you have decided to try to live a Christ-like life, a life that is pleasing to the Lord God.  God is not caught up in whether or not you are following all the rules, He is concerned about your soul.  The reason why Jesus Christ died and rose again was because you won’t be able to follow all the rules.  Christ stands in that gap between us and our Heavenly Father.
Being a Christian can be a lot of fun. Try settling in a church on a regularly basis and getting involved in some activities.  You will find out that you can have a lot of fun.  The music is not the same.  These days all you hear on the radio is "let me rub you down, get in between your thighs and lick you up".  Try getting high on Jesus instead of drugs.  Becoming addicted to Jesus Christ leads to life, addicted to drugs leads to death.
Let me tell you something, when I walked down that aisle in church to give my life to Christ Jesus with the pastor holding his arms out to welcome me and my family into the kingdom of God, I did not go home and throw away all my weed, give up buying cocaine, and pour my tequila down the sink.  That was me and I'm not ashamed to tell you that if it means that you will work harder each day to leave the worldly things behind.  And out of all the steps I took meaning 12-Step program meetings, I fell down the stairs, got back up to take 2 more, fell down 3 and back up again.  It was not until I started attending Sunday church service and bible study that I was delivered from drugs and drinking.  If it had not been for my Lord watching over me, I would be dead.  It seems like He was watching me and saying to the Father, "she's going to come, she's going to be my Prophetess,".

This is a spiritual journey and you will make mistakes, but God is so compassionate and merciful that He gives us grace and mercy. He is not taking notes.  It's the devils job to make you think that being a Christian is no fun.  Living an ungodly life may be fun for right now, but what are you going to do when Jesus Christ comes back for His bride?

Heavenly Father, I give thanks to you on today for my life.  Thank you Lord for watching over me even when I didn't want you to see what I was doing.  Thank you Father for keeping Your promise even though I didn't keep all my promises to You.  Father, I pray that you lead me each day that you wake me up.  Thank you for Your love, Your compassion, Your mercy, and Your grace that you show towards me and my family each day.  I love you Lord and I want to do what's right in Your sight.  Thank you Father for loving me even when I don't always do what is right, in Jesus name, Amen.
