A MOTHER'S LOVE

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I pray that you are blessed and highly favored of the Lord on today.  I speak peace into your life.  I pray that you are being fed through "Spiritual Growth for Women Ministry".  God bless you.

One thing that I have learned is that once you are a mother, you are a mother for life.  There is no such thing as when they are grown and leave the home, you are done with your children.  It seems that once they leave the nest, they need more of their mother's love.  I remember my mother telling me that you never stop being a mother.  That's what her mother told her, and that's what she told me.  At the time I still had babies, so I did not fully understand what she was talking about.

I realize that you tend to worry more about your children once they are not in your presence.  You wonder if they are doing well.  It is a mother's instinct to always protect their children.  You wish you could go to school with them to make sure they are okay.  You wish that you could take away every hurt or disappointment that they will go through in life.  Your job is to teach and guide them, getting them ready for the cruel world awaiting them.  No matter how much you try, you can never fully prepare them for the trials that they must face on their own.  You can only hope and pray that they will do the right thing or that you have prepared them for life's lessons.

Woman of God, mother, you have to release your children to the world.  I know that there will be times that you wish that you can take their pains away but they must go through them.  If you never let them go through their trials and tribulations on their own that will have learned nothing.  They have to experience their own highs and lows.  Their own lights and darkness's, their own black and whites, their own colors in life.  It's okay to let them know that you are always there for them, but you can't take away their life's lessons.  You have yours and they must have their own.  Your daughters will definitely call you someday crying about something that she's going through.  You will have the answers for her, but it is ultimately her decision to take your advice or keep going in the direction that she chooses.  Sons are harder.  They don't call mom as much.  It doesn't mean they love you less, they just don't call as much and you will find yourself worrying more about your sons well-being than the daughter that calls crying.  I have two grown children and I have not released them yet.  They don't live at home but my heart and mind just can't seem to let go.  My son is 29 and I still have not let go.  My daughter is 25 and I still wish that I could go through her life for her.

My suggestion is that you trust God for your children.  I am still learning how to do that myself.  Trust God to take care of them.  This will require lots of prayer on your behalf.  You will have to be your childrens prayer intercessor.  God wants you to trust Him to care for your children, after all, they really belong to Him.  Your job as a mother is to let your children see you as a strong mother and woman of God.  A mother that they will call blessed.  LET US PRAY!

Heavenly Father, I thank and praise you for my children.  Lord, you said that the fruit of my womb is blessed and I speak those blessings over my children right now.  Lord, help me to trust you more for my children.  Lord, I pray that you will hear my prayers for them, as I intercede on their behalf.  Keep watch over your children Lord, in Jesus name, Amen.
