GRACE AND MERCY

Good morning, without a doubt, I pray for you daily.  My prayer for you today is that you are blessed and that you understand the high price that was paid for your soul and because of Christ Jesus we can come boldly to the throne of grace.  God bless you, woman of God!

(Micah 7:9), "I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against Him, until He pleas my cause, and execute judgment for me: He will bring me forth to the light and I shall behold His righteousness.

Why is God's grace and mercy so important?  Why should you pray daily for His grace and mercy?  Well, I'm glad you asked.  Years ago, before I became a Prayer Warrior, I'd always hear the ministers praying for God's grace and mercy .  I did not have the full understanding of God's grace and mercy, so I would use those words to "fill in the blanks", whenever I was at a loss for words.  I just repeated what I always heard.  The more I studied the Word of God, I learned the reason why God's grace and mercy was so important for me to have in my Christian walk.

Grace gives us what we do not deserve.  For instance, we do not deserve the love of the Almighty God to have sent His Son to die for us.  All of us are sinners.  It's in our nature, since the sins of Adam and Eve.  God knows that, but He loves us unconditionally.  Apostle Paul talks about the thorn in his side that God would not remove, God reply was, "My grace is sufficient for you". God's grace allows us to freely walk in His provisions.

Mercy:  No matter what title you hold in your church (pastor, deacon, minister, elder or prophet) or no matter how often you pray and worship God, you still have to pay for your sins.  This is a fact.  There are consequences for your actions.  The awesome thing is that Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, sits at the right had of God the Father interceding on your behalf.  Even the most elect before God will bear His wrath.  This does not mean that God will not continue to use you for His glory.  That's His GRACE given to you.  You should pray for God to have mercy upon you when you are going through whatever consequences that will come from being disobedient to the Lord.

There was a time in my life where I had not been a good steward over my finances.  I had a gambling problem, living in Las Vegas.  It was difficult for me to stay on track when it came to paying my bills.  I knew better but the stronghold that was on me at that time was stronger than I could handle.  I prayed for the Lord to have mercy on me because I knew there was a price I had to pay.  I lost my home, which I really loved.

My punishment for disobedience was that I had to live in a hotel for six months.  God provided my with the necessities that we needed, but I no longer had the comfort of my four bedroom, 2 bathroom home.  God had mercy on me; he made sure I had a roof over my head and food on the table.

Sometimes we put ourselves in stupid situations and make bad choices for our lives.  That's why we need God to have mercy on us, while we are going through the consequences that we may face when not living righteous before God.  Apostle Paul put it this way, "When I want to do what is right, evil is always present.  That thing that I know to do, I do not, but the things that I don't want to do, I do.  Apostle Paul understood that we will always be in a constant battle with our flesh.  So when you think that you have messed up so badly, remember God's grace and mercy.  PRAISE THE LORD!
