THE HOLY SPIRIT

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I thank the Lord for you and thank you for reading my blogs.

(Matthew 28:17-20), When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.  Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

The Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Trinity.  Depending on what type of teaching that you have had concerning the Holy Spirit, you may or may not have an understanding of exactly who the Holy Spirit is and what is His job.  The Holy Spirit is not a thing.  According to what I believe, what I have read in the bible and have experienced, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I want to tell you a short story.  It was my turn to give to the congregation the Word of God.  I studied and prepared for it all week.  I took notes that I thought were going to be good.  Well, that Sunday, because of a train, I was running late.  I forgot my notes.  I told my daughter to drive in order to write whatever I could remember about the notes that I had prepared.  When I got to church, I sat in the front row and the whole time, I am totally nervous because I forgot my original notes.  I only had a couple of sentences or key points with me.  When the pastor introduced me, I went to the pulpit and forgot my notes in the chair next to me.  I was sweating bullets.  I didn't want to go back to get them, I just stared at them, sitting in that chair.  After a few seconds I heard the Holy Spirit say, "You don't need your notes".  Well, I didn't have time to debate with the Holy Spirit or explain to Him why I thought that I needed them, so I prayed and went forth with the message.

That was the day that I found out that the Holy Spirit was definitely in me.  I was obedient and listened to every word that He whispered in my ear.  I was astounded at the words that were coming out of my mouth.  That was the best message I had ever preached.  My dad came to hear the word that Sunday, so I was a little nervous.  It was also my birthday.  I got the best birthday present from the Lord that I could have every dreamed of or could even imagine.  I allowed the Holy Spirit to have His way.  I had no choice.  After the message, I heard the Holy Spirit say, "It's not about you."

In the Old Testament, God the Father, walked with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.  He spoke to Noah and gave detailed messages to the Prophets of the bible.  In the New Testament, after Jesus Christ of Nazareth was born until Mary and Joseph, he gave His life for us.  We then came under a new covenant with Jesus Christ.  The bible says, "No one comes to the Father, except through the Son of God."  After Jesus Christ arose and ascended up to Heaven, He says that He would not leave use comfortless.  He will send the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is here on earth with us.  The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Jesus tells the disciples, "At that time you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

(John 16:7-8), But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away.  Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.  When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment:  THE HOLY SPIRIT.

The Holy Spirit is the One that gives you spiritual gifts and will teach you how to use them to glory God.  The Holy Spirit is uses you when you are speaking in tongues.  The Holy Spirit knows exactly what you are saying, when you are speaking in tongues to God.  I want you to understand that the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of the Lord Jesus is here on earth with you, if you believe what the bible says concerning His role in your life.  If you don't, you will be lost.  The bibles says that God forgives all sins, except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.  Once you grasp the fullness of the Holy Spirit's work in your life, you will never be the same.  PRAISE GOD!  GOD BLESS YOU!
