THE HAMSTER WHEEL

Good morning, Mighty Woman of God!
While in my praise and worship time with the Lord, I received a word from the Holy Spirit.  I am going to give you the part that is important for you.  This is what the Holy Spirit spoke to me, ("You have to be able to take the scripture and still keep it in content, but also b able to make it apply to the women of today and tomarrow").  That was the Lord' message to me.  Then I was lead to 2 Cor. 1:3-4, what I am going to do is replace my name instead of the words us and me.  This scripture is Apostle Paul's letter to Corinth.  This is the scripture that the Lord gave to me for confirmation.

(2 Corinthians 1:3-4), Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts me in all my troubles, so that I can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort I myself have received from God.

When I was in my 20's I felt very lonely.  I prayed and ask the Lord to send me a man.  I was not knowledgeable that the devil also hears my prayers.  Well, I met a man that became my second husband.  I thought that the Lord had sent him to me, so I did thank Him for that man.

We had a lot of fun together.  His weed was better than mine and he always had it so we spent our lunch hours together.  We were co-workers.  I was then introduced to cocaine.  Something that I had never tried.  I don't know when the abuse started all I know is that it did.  I was in love with him so everytime he would promise never to hit me again, I believed him.  If you have ever had a hamster they spend a great deal of time on  that wheel.  The hamster just goes around and around, never to get off until it is finally too tired to take it anymore.  I would always wonder why that hamster would keep going around and around without knowing that he is getting nowhere.

That is how my life was in my 20's and early 30's.  That is a long time to stay on that hamster wheel, just going around and around, not getting out of the bad situation but hoping that it would soon get me somewhere.  I was hit over all kinds of reasons and also was cheated on.  So here I am putting all my heart into a relationship that is not working.  I even sat back and aloud him to not come home whenever he felt like it, plenty of nights just looking out of the window.  I had hopes that it will soon get better, so I stayed on that wheel as long as I could.  Finally getting out of a terrible relationship (marriage), I got off the wheel because just like that hamster, I couldn't take it anymore and I realized that I was getting nowhere.

Woman of God, if you are in a relationship that is like a hamster wheel, maybe you should get off the wheel, take a long look at what you've been going through and make a decision on whether or not you want to stay on the wheel, going around and around and getting absolutely nowhere.  One thing that I have realized in that relationship was that as long as I had a place to stay, he was there.  Some men know that women will always have a place to stay, especially if they have to provide for their children. They will end up following you without contributing to the relationship.  They won't get a job or even look for one, because they realize that you will always work.

Be very careful not to get on that hamster wheel, but if you make a mistake and get on, you can pray your way off and stay off.  The Lord has a purpose and a plan for your life, but if you are on that wheel going around and around, you can't catch the blessings of the Lord.  PRASE GOD!
