CHANGE

Good Morning, Mighty woman of God!  I pray that you all have had a blessed weekend and that you will continue to be blessed by the Lord Jesus Christ, the entire weekend.  God bless you.

(Matthew 18-20), As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew.  They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.  "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." At once they left their nets and followed him.

Not everyone is going to go where you are going.  You have a heart for Jesus, but you can't take all your friends with you.  When Jesus told Peter and Andrew to drop their nets and follow Him, they didn't even ask Him where He was going, they trusted Him.  The bible says, at once they left their nets and followed Him.  They didn't tell Jesus that they had to gather the rest of their friends, they didn't tell Jesus that they had to continue fishing, they didn't even question Him as to their destination, they trusted Him.

Woman of God, do not expect all of your friends to understand why you have decided to follow after Christ Jesus.  If they do not have a heart for Christ, they won't understand.  When you change your lifestyle the friends that you used to get high with, hit all the bars with, cursed up a storm with and hung out at the club with will not accept that fact that you have changed your heart.  They will refuse to hear anything you have to say about Jesus Christ because they are looking at the old you.  In fact, they will hang around and wait until you slip back in to your old behavior.  You see, they don't want to accept your change, they don't want you to accept salvation from Christ.  They like the old you.  They are the first ones that will remind you of who you used to be and the things you used to do.  What qualifies you to talk about Jesus Christ?  When did you become Miss goodie two-shoes?

When you decide to make up your mind to allow Christ to change your talk, change your walk, change the way you used to dress and change you from the inside out, not all of your friends will accept your change.  Your change will become gradual.  Little by little you will desire to more Christ-like.  The bible says, that all things will pass away and you will become a new creature in Christ Jesus.  The bible also says, that think it not strange that you will be outcast and persecuted because Jesus was persecuted by His own town.  To paraphrase it, when Jesus came to His home town, He was unable to do miracles because they were not looking at Him as their Lord and Savior, they were looking at Him as Joseph and Mary's son.  They only saw Him as a carpenter.  You old friends will not see you as a vessel of God.  The great thing about God is that not only will He change your walk and your talk, but He will also surround you with new spirit-filled friends.  The kind of friends that will help and not hinder your spiritual journey.

I know this message is speaking to someone reading this blog.  If you know that this is you, hold on my daughter, God says hold on.  I hear the Lord also saying, He's going to turn it around for your good.  He sees you and your suffering and your longing to have people around you that understand you.  People that will not talk behind your back or make you feel unwanted in their presence, shake the dust from your feet and move on, saith the Lord God.  PRAISE HIM!
