BUT THE LORD . . . .

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God! I speak blessings of the Lord's favor upon your life. May you walk in the way of the Lord's direction daily.

(Genesis 39:2-3 and 20-21), But the Lord was with Joseph, and he though a slave was a successful and prosperous man and he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian.  And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all that he did to flourish and succeed in his hands.

(20-21), And Joseph's master took him and put him in the prison, a place where the state prisoners were confined so he was there in the prison.  But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy and loving-kindness and gave him favor in the sight of the warden.

Genesis, Chapters 39-50, tells the story of Joseph and how the Lord was with him even through his trials in the land of Egypt.  I really love reading the story and it makes me laugh because no matter what Joseph had to endure the bible continues to state, but the Lord was with him.  Poor Joseph, never did anything to be put in the predicaments that he were put before him . . . but the Lord was with him.  At the end of the story Joseph was victorious over everything that the devil tried to kill his spirit with . . . because the Lord was with him.  This is one story that you can really get a good laugh at the devil.

There will always be people in our lives that mean to do us harm.  They don't care at all about your well-being, even though they pretend to care.  Joseph's trial really begin with the spirit of jealousy that was upon his brothers.  Then as he found favor in his master's sight, the spirit of lust crepe in through his masters wife and Joseph was unjustly accused and thrown into prison.  One of the important things about this story is that everyone that crossed Joseph's path, saw the favor of the Lord upon his life.

During your times of struggles and trials, people will often use terms like, "what doesn't kill you will make you stronger". Or "God never puts more on you than you can handle".  I know those cliches' don't mean a lot when you are the one going through but if you think back to some situations that you have been through and thought that you would never make it out of this one; you did.  Someone once said to me, "In a years time you'll look at this day and laugh".  I actually looked at that person and said, "I don't think so, this time next year I'll probably be dead".  To be honest with you, I really meant it, I thought that I would never live through that trial.  Now, that I look back over my life and think things over, I can truly say that I should have lost my mind, but the Lord was always with me.

There will be times in your life where you feel just like Joseph.  You don't see your trials or circumstances changing for the better anytime soon.  You don't feel this trial making you stronger only weaker and you may feel like this is a trial that is too much for you to bare.  I want you to remember and guard in your heart these few simple words . . . BUT THE LORD!

You are stronger than you think and although you may feel like you can't make it one more second, one more minute, one more hour, one more day, you cannot do this on your own strength . . . . BUT THE LORD!

Satan's plans for you is to still your peace of mind, kill the Spirit of the Lord within you and rob you of your inheritance . . . BUT THE LORD!  PRAISE GOD! AMEN!
