ROCKY

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!  I pray that you are blessed and highly favored on today.  May the peace of God keep you in everything that you encounter.

Have you ever seen any of the Rocky movies?  I think the first Rocky was the best one.  He fights Apollo Creed.  Since most of you are younger than I am, let me give you a great story.

Rocky was a nobody that would fight in the gym's against other fighters that were preparing for a championship fight.  In other words, he was a punching bag.  You ever feel like that sometimes?  Feel like you just get beat down every time you try to make a change in your life for the better.  Anyway, Apollo Creed was the world champion and he decided to give the title shot to an unknown, a long shot.  Have you ever felt like a long shot?  Stick with me here, I'm going somewhere with this.  If you have never seen Rocky, you will have to put on your spiritual cap and imagine what God is saying to you today.

Imagine that you are Rocky and the enemy is Apollo Creed.  You are the long shot, never been in a title fight before and you have only been sparring.  Now, in order for you to be victorious over Satan you have to train hard for this fight.  You have to get up early in the morning with prayer and praise give to God.  You have to walk in the anointing of the Holy Spirit as you leave the house in the morning.  You can't just do this one time in order to win, you have to have a made up mind to be disciplined to follow that prayer and praise everyday.  Remember, your enemy will come to kill and destroy you and your family.  He's not holding back any punches, he wants to see you down for the count.

Once Rocky and Apollo Creed started fighting.  The champ thought it was going to be an easy fight.  He thought that since he had been winning all his previous fights, this one was in the bag.  He under estimated Rocky.  I remember every time Apollo Creed knock Rocky down in the ring, he would walk away thinking that Rocky would not get back up, but he did.  As the fight went on, Apollo Creed became weary and tired, but every time he looked at Rocky he thought to himself, dag, this man won't stay down, what's driving him?

Now, your turn.  Satan thinks that you are an easy opponent.  He doesn't know that God calls you His friend.  He doesn't know that what he meant for good, God has turned it around for your favor.  He has messed with your finances and your lights are out, but you got candles and you are not in the dark.  He has messed with your car, but you go to work anyway, smiling at the bus driver.  He has messed with your relationship, but you keep reading your bible anyway.  He has cause unexpected death in your family, but you praise God anyway.  You have lost your job, but you now collect unemployment and take time to spend with your children.  You just keep getting up.  Every time the enemy knocks you down, get back up again.  He goes to his corner and hopes you don't get back up again, but you do.  Each time that you get back up, you are stronger then you were when you went down.

You have to expect to be in spiritual warfare everyday.  You have to train hard for this fight.  You have to read your word, pray, praise and worship God everyday, in order to defeat the enemy.  As long as you keep training, you will be victorious over Satan.  Keep getting back up.  GOD BLESS YOU!
