THE MERCY RULE

Good morning, Mighty Woman of God!  I pray that you are all blessed and highly favored of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

I love the message that the Holy Spirit gave me today.  I think you'll be blessed as well.

(Romans 9:14-16), What then shall we say?  Is God unjust?  Not at all! For he says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."  It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy.

I was a softball coach for a little while and my girls were such sweethearts but they were new to playing softball.  When the teams were picked the organization gave me the task of raising up a new team.  Anyway, my sweetheart girls couldn't hit a softball, catch a softball nor did we know all the rules.  With that being said, I learned that there was something called a 'mercy rule'.

One day the umpire shouted out the 'mercy rule' was now in effect for my sweetheart girls.  I asked, "What is the mercy rule?"  The ump explained to me that it's when a team is getting beat so bad that only three girls from the other team can bat or score a run.  Boy, did we fall in love with the 'mercy rule'.

I ended up keeping the same girls from four years and we got good.  We ended up being an undefeated team.  We learned all the rules and we practiced more.  Eventually we had to show mercy to other teams.

That's how God treats the newly saved believer in Christ.  When we first get saved, we are in a state where we are mostly likely coming out of a bad situation and working towards becoming a better person.  We don't understand all the rules because we just began attending church service or bible study and for some of us we are trying really hard not to mess up but we find that it is impossible.

The bible says that satan goes to and from the earth and heaven accusing the saints of everything.  Picture this: satan whispering in God's ear all of our mistakes, every time and picture Jesus Christ as He sits at the right hand of God the Father shaking His head and saying, the 'mercy rule' is in effect for her I redeemed her and pretty soon she's going to be the one I chose to bring in other sheep.  PRAISE GOD!

DIVINE PERSPECTIVE

Good morning, Mighty Woman of God, I pray that you are blessed and highly favored by our Lord Jesus Christ as you follow after Him.

I am sharing with you my reading today from the Daily Bread.  Read Habakkuk 2:2-14

Jason took a trip to New York during spring break.  One afternoon he and some friends piled into a cab and headed for the Empire State Building.  To Jason, the ride on the ground seemed chaotic and dangerous.  But when he got to the observation deck of the skyscraper and looked down on the city streets, to his amazement he saw order and design.  What a difference a change in perspective made!

Habakkuk learned a similar lesson.  When he looked at life from his earthly vantage point, it seemed that God was indifferent to the evil permeating society (Hab. 1:2-4).  But God gave him a divine perspective and showed him that life is more than what it seems.  The deeds of men cannot thwart the purposes of God.

Those who don't show any regard for God may seem to prosper at the moment, but God will ultimately right all wrong.  God acts sovereignly in all that comes to pass so that everything works toward His good purpose.  God's plan will surely take place and be on schedule.

We can't sort out the whole picture from where we are in life; only God can.  So let us continue to live by faith and not by sight.  From His perspective, all things are working together for the believer's good and for His honor. - By Poh Fang Chia

GRAIN ON THE MOUNTAINTOP

Good morning, Mighty Woman of God.  I pray that today's message will be a blessing to you.  And that you are blessed and highly favored by our Lord Jesus Christ and that you prosper in all that you do, as you seek after Him.

Well, we're still in the Book of Proverbs but I'm going to post something that was a blessing to me, from Our Daily Bread, reading that I do daily.

Solomon, who wrote Psalm 72, asked God for "an abundance of grain  . . . on the top of the mountains," to characterize his reign as King.  If grain on the mountain is so unusual, what is Solomon suggesting?  That God's power can produce results in even the most unpromising soil?

Perhaps you think of yourself as a little person, with very little to bring to the kingdom.  Take courage: God can produce an abundant harvest through you.  This is one of the ironies of faith:  God uses the insignificant to accomplish the great.  Not many of us are wise or noble; most of us are anonymous and far from extraordinary.  Yet all of us can be used.  And contrary to what we might think, it is because of our weakness that we can be used by God (1 Cor. 1:27-29; 2Cor. 12:10).

It is possible to be too big or proud for God to use, but we can never be too little.  "Out of weakness" we are "made strong" (Heb. 11:34).  By God's great power, we can do all that He has called us to do.

Pray:  Lord, You work through such common things, those of us with flaws and weaknesses.  We are in awe of Your power and humbled by Your choice of us.  Our hearts long to be faithful to You.

WISDOM, CHARACTER, UNDERSTANDING, KNOWLEDGE

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God.  I pray that you are having a blessed day and that you prosper spiritually as you seek after our Lord Jesus Christ.

For those of you that are new to the ministry, the Lord has instructed me to go through the Book of Proverbs this month.  The Book of Proverbs is about wisdom, knowledge and building your character.  God wants to change us from the inside out and in the end, your character and integrity will show others that you have had wise council by the Word of God.

I have been reading a chapter a day and I have really been blessed.  Yes, I am working on my character as well.

(Proverbs: 11:13), A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy man keeps a secret. (Proverbs:12:18), Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

Okay ladies I'll be the first to admit that I have not always lived my life by those two scriptures.  Being a leader and having a ministry, I have to be trustworthy.

One thing that I realized is that keeping a secret or being a trustworthy person means a lot to people.  If you are gossiping about people, that means that you are not keeping their secret told to you in confidence.  Ladies, one thing about us is that we talk too much.  Yes, I said it, we talk entirely too much.  If you are telling someone else business you cannot be trusted and God cannot use a woman that cannot be trusted.

Reckless words are the words spoken out of your mouth that hurts other people.  Whether you are betraying their trust or speaking harshly to them, you are hurting them.  God says, it like a sword piercing through that person's body.  Imagine getting stabbed with a knife, it hurts and each time that you use your mouth to speak harshly to someone or betray a friends trust; you are hurting someone.

If you are wise and use the wisdom of God when you speak, you can bring forth good fruit and healing to your sister in Christ.  One of the ways that we can use wisdom in our speech is to ask God, will what I say or do, hurt someone else.  PRAISE GOD!

Heavenly Father, forgive me for not being a trustworthy woman of God.  Father, I know that I need to be wise, speak wisdom in order for you to use me for Your glory.  Father, I ask that you create in me a clean heart and a righteous spirit so that I can be used by You, in Jesus name, AMEN!

KNOWLEDGE, WISDOM, UNDERSTANDING, CHARACTER

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!  I pray that you are all blessed and highly favored of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

As you know, this month the Lord is keeping us in the Book of Proverbs.  I am really enjoying the reading and gaining more knowledge of our Lord and prayerfully building my character daily.

(Proverbs 16:3-4), Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.  The Lord works out everything for his own ends - even the wicked for a day of disaster.

Have you ever heard the term, "If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans".  That is so true.  That term is definitely one that will make a person that has a relationship with God stop and say, "Yeah, you're right".

As soon as we set our plans for ourselves aside then we will be able to get on board with God's plan for our lives.  A lot of times we wake up in the morning and pray telling God what we would like our day to be like. Instead of telling God what we desire for ourselves, let's try asking God to have his way in our lives.

Proverbs says, that if we commit to the Lord whatever we do, our plans will succeed.  That does not mean committed our will.  How can we commit to the Lord whatever we do?  By morning prayer and by asking the Lord what is His will for us today.  Now some of us don't believe that we hear from God as well as others, so I will say this to you, just trust that with you asking God to have His way and give you directions; that He will do just that.  Once your plans line up with God's plan, you cannot fail.  And EVERYTHING, even that thing that don't looks so good, will work out.  AMEN!

Heavenly Father, my prayer is that you have your way in my life today Lord.  Whatever you want me to do, whatever plans you have for me today, I accept your will for my life.  Father, so I ask that you take my heart, my mind and soul and conform it to your will.  Father, I know that whatever happens in my life today, I will trust you no matter what.  Even if it seems as though my day is going totally wrong, I will trust in You Lord, in Jesus Name, Amen!

WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTAND, CHARACTER

Hello Ladies, I pray that you are blessed and found favorable in the sight of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

As you know, the Lord is keeping me in the Book of Proverbs.  I have fallen in love with that book over again.  As I give the scriptures, I pray that you find the time out of your busy schedules and read the entire scripture.

(Proverbs 24:16), For though a righteous man/woman falls seven times, he/she rises again, but the wicked are brought down by calamity.

We have all heard that verse over and over again at some point in our spiritual journey.  Here's my food for thought.  If that man/woman is so righteous how is it that he/she keeps falling?  Why is it that he/she falls seven times?  That's a great question.  Here is God's answer to you.

Even though a righteous man/woman falls seven times he/she has wisdom and the knowledge to know that not only do they need to get back up but that the God in them is what is sustaining them each time they fall.  Even though you have fallen seven or even seventy times, if you have a relationship with God; He will always pick you back up.  What makes you righteous is not how many times you didn't fall but how much you've learned each time that the Lord picks you back up.

Your faith, your relationship and constant communication is what makes you righteous in the sight of the Lord.  It doesn't matter what the world sees, because we have a way of damning people to hell real quick; it's what the Lord knows to be true about you.

Just as sure as the devil is going to and from the heavens accusing you; believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is sitting on the right hand of God the Father pleading your cause.  Visualize the Lord shaking His finger at the devil saying, "No, you can not have her, she's going through something right now, but she will rise up again with the strength that I gave her".  PRAISE GOD!

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the strength that you give me to get back up again.  And Father I pray that even if I can't see Your hand, that I trust Your plan, in Jesus name, Amen!

WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE, CHARACTER BUIDING

Good morning.  I thank God for each of you and that you are continuously supporting the ministry by reading the devotional blogs.  My prayer for you is that you are being blessed and I able to push forward a little bit more in your spiritual journey.

Just in case you are reading our Proverbs teaching for the first time, I will tell you that the Lord has given me the assignment to go through the Book of Proverbs to build us up in wisdom, and build our character.  The entire Book of Proverbs is about moral, wisdom, knowledge and character building.

(Proverbs 3:5-6), Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

I can't tell you how many people I talk to say that's their favorite scripture.  Everyone has a least one favorite scripture that we reflect on when things are going totally wrong.  If you don't have at least one favorite scripture that you repeat to yourself in times of trouble, make that a priority on your list.

Anyway, seeing that it's one of your favorite scriptures, do you really rely on that when things are seeming to go wrong.  Now I am saying seeming.  If we truly trust in the Lord with all of our hearts, then the storm in our lives are not storms at all.  All of have had times in our lives where we don't think that we can make it another day.  Whether it's health problems, money, love, tragedy or losing a loved one.  We cry and just don't think we can stand the pain one more minute.

That's the time when we truly have to lean not on our own understandings.  Our limited understanding of our issues and circumstances only allows us to see the here and now.  We don't see that behind the scenes the Lord is working it out for our good.  Acknowledging God in all of our ways, gets us to that point in not trusting what our eyes see, our heart feels or what our health issues are.  How do we acknowledge God in all our ways?  Praise and worship. Those simple words, will allow us to truly trust in the Lord with all of our hearts.  AMEN!

Heavenly Father, I thank you for making my paths straight and for your guidance and leading me through the unknown.  Father I thank you that even when I can't see You working things out for my good, that by Your Spirit, I can feel your presence and I trust in You, in Jesus name, Amen.

WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE, CHARACTER

Good morning, Mighty Woman of God.  I pray that you are all blessed and that you are highly favored on today, by our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are still in the book of Proverbs this month.  As I stated yesterday, the book of Proverbs is about character building, gaining Godly wisdom, and knowledge to assist you in reading the bible.

Before you read your bible, try placing your hand on the top and pray first, then ask the Lord to guide you to the book, chapter or verse that He wants to give to you.  Also pray that the Holy Spirit gives you knowledge and understanding of what you read.

(Proverbs 2:1-6),  My son IF you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, and IF you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and IF you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.  For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

God is saying, IF you do this; then I WILL do that.  The word IF is always contingent upon something else.  God says, IF you ask for knowledge, seek after it, then I will . . . IF you ask me for insight, I will give . . .

A lot of times we go through tough circumstances or our lives can seem a bit turbulence at times.  One of the reasons why the storm seems to be hanging around is that God is building your character, He is trying to teach you something and He is preparing you for what is to come. Our Lord knows that in order for you to get through our next phase of life in our spiritual journey, we are going to need certain things that we don't even know about.

Pray for Godly wisdom, Godly knowledge, in so many cases, we have too much of the world's wisdom and the world's knowledge that we don't leave any room for the Lord.

I am posting more of the scriptures because the Lord wants you to meditate on His Words not mine.  Break down each verse if you have to, but before you close out of this blog, try to get what it is that the Lord wants to give you.  I am being obedient by not teaching the way I use to in my blogs; the Lord is also building my character and giving me knowledge as well.  PRAISE GOD!

WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING

Hello, Mighty Woman of God! I'm back.  I missed you ladies.  Haven't posted in a minute.  So here we go.  I follow God's instructions as best I can and He has lead me to go through the book of Proverbs with you.   Another thing that you all will appreciate is that, the blogs won't be nearly as long.

One of the things that the Book of Proverbs represents is Wisdom.  As you read through the Proverbs notice that the word SHE is used when speaking of Wisdom.  Also it is said that SHE (Wisdom) was with God before the beginning of the Earth and Man.  God is Wisdom.

(PROVERBS 1), The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel: For attaining wisdom and discipline; for understanding words of insight; for acquiring a discipline and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair; for giving prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the young, let the wise listen an add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance, for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise.  The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.

Well, God is doing a new thing in me and the ministry.  Meditate on those versus, so important for us to gain wisdom and knowledge not only when it comes to the things of God but in our everyday life.  One of the things that I learned years ago was to always pray before I read my bible.  Asking the Holy Spirit to give me wisdom, knowledge, understanding and a fresh revelation of the scriptures.  Without the wisdom and understanding of the scriptures there can be no growth.

There are a lot of parables in the four Gospels in the bible.  Sometimes I have to read the parable more than once to understand exactly what God is trying to tell me through that particular parable.  Even though the parable was written over 2,000 years ago, the Word of the Lord through that parable has meaning for us today.  Praying that the Holy Spirit gives you understanding will help you to grasp and hold on to what the Lord is saying to you.

If we have Godly wisdom in our everyday life and listen and allow God to discipline us and correct us, we will without a doubt keep moving forward in our spiritual journey.   I used to wonder why God wants us to fear Him, but I think I figured it out.  If we don't fear the Lord, we would probably be undisciplined in every area of our lives.  No gaining of knowledge because we don't even fear or respect God.  Without respecting God, we won't respect ourselves or others.  Fools despise wisdom and discipline; the jails are full of fools.

Heavenly Father, I pray that You forgive me for my sins.  Forgive me Lord for the things that I have in my mind or have said that doesn't glorify You.  Lord I am praying that I receive wisdom as I read through my bible.  Lead me Father to each scripture that You want me to read on today.  I pray that your Spirit leads me and gives me understanding as to how to apply your Word in my life on today.  I love you Father God, and I thank you for life.  In Jesus name Amen!
