ROCKS AND SAND

Good morning, Mighty Woman of God!  I pray that you are blessed and highly favored of our Lord, Jesus Christ!  I have an excuse for being absent. LOL!  I just finished my second book, titled, "Mighty Woman of God".  It is definitely a blessing and I am so excited about it.  If you have been blessed by the daily blogs, you will be blessed by this book.

(Matthew 7:24-27) Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.  And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man.  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

In this parable, Jesus is not speaking about an actual building; he is speaking about your physical body.  Christ is saying if you build yourself up in Him, when the winds blow and the floods seems to overtake you; you will be able to stand.  If you place a handful of sand on top of a rock, when the wind and floods hit that rock, the sand will blow away; but the rock will still be intact without any signs of destruction.  Jesus Christ desires for you to be built up in Him just like that rock so that you are able to stay intact during the storms in your life.

Woman of God, be determined to have a house that is built upon a rock and not sand.  If you are the type of person that does not allow yourself time to read the Word of God or have daily prayer; most likely you are sand.  The enemy knows that you are sand and therefore, it is easy to disrupt your life.  As soon as an unforeseen incident happens, just like sand upon a rock you are blown away.  You end up making rash decisions that will not get you out of your storm.  Your foundation is not strong enough because you have a house built on sand.  If you don’t have enough of the Spirit of the Lord in your physical body, you are considered sand to the enemy.

If you are the type of person that takes the time to study the Word of God and pray regularly, you have developed a rock mentality.  When the enemy comes to disrupt your life, you are not easily blown away by his tactics or lies.  You know the blessings and promises that God has for you and you will have a strong determination to live your spiritual journey in the will of God.  When you are faced with adversities and tragedies you will know without a doubt, that God has already handled it for you.  Jesus did not say to Peter, "Upon this sand, I will build my house".  Jesus' words to Peter were, "Upon this rock, I will build my house".

In order to be productive during your spiritual journey called life; you will have to have a solid rock-like mentality and foundation.   The foundation has to be the very essence of your being, what you are made of on the inside.  Time is running short for the devil and his demonic spirits so you cannot afford to be blown all over the place.   You have to take a firm position concerning your spirituality and your relationship with Jesus Christ.  Your children are depending on you to give them guidance and wisdom to get them through their spiritual journey.  They will need a rock foundation and mentality.  Sand will only have them blown out into a valley of nowhere.  Pray for your children, daily.  Pray with them and speak blessing upon their lives.  They may be too young to understand what you are praying about but in the times to come, when they are older, they will understand.  You will develop a type of faith that the Lord will see and He will not have forgotten the prayers that you prayed over your children.  PRAISE GOD!
