I glorify the Lord on today. I pray that the Lord continues to bless you as you seek diligently after Him.
Today, the Lord's message to you is "deliverance from people". Yes, "deliverance from people". If you're the kind of person that typically are called a 'people pleaser', then this message if for you. Some of us may have been raised in a household and felt we didn't get much attention. Maybe you were the type of child that always did what was right. Maybe the type of child that everyone said, you wouldn't amount to anything. Whatever the case may be, you have unknowingly become a 'people pleaser'. You see 'people pleasers' don't do anything they want to do, they do what you think they should do. People pleasers worry about what people in church, on the job and even in our families are saying about us. We don't want to cause any trouble, at any time, so we tend to go along with the most popular thing going at that time. There may be times where you knew something was not right, but you did it anyway because don't want other people to judge you. A lot of 'people pleaser' are in he church. You aren't yourself around other members of the church in fear that they will judge you by the things you say, the way you act, or even the fact that they are still struggling with issues.
I used to belong to a big congregation. I really enjoyed being a member of the church. I was an active member of the Prayer Ministry and Good News Publication Ministry. I was well known in the church, even though it was a big congregation. I had a spirit of intimidation on my life and low self-esteem. Those two demonic spirits made me a "People Pleaser". You would not know that about me just by looking at me because I am also a very sociable person. I was around a lot of teachers, pastors, elders on a lot of occasions, even as much as being in their homes. I thought that their positions in the church made me feel inadequate. I often cared about what they thought about me. I never showed them the real me.
One day while in prayer, the Lord told me that I was just as important as any of His people. He told me that I was placed in their presence for a reason. At the end of the day, if you can look in the mirror and ask yourself, did I do anything that didn't bring glory to the Lord today? Did ungodly words come out of my mouth against the people of God? If you can answer no to these questions, than you have nothing to worry about.
If you have people in your life that make you feel intimidated, remember that you are just as good as they are. It does not matter what a position they hold in your church. Remember that God is not a respecter of persons and no one is without sin. Because of a spirit of low self-esteem, it can take a little work to constantly look at yourself in the mirror and say, "I am a child of the Most High, I am as good as anyone else". I had to do that and I went through a lot of pain and suffering because of the spirit of intimation, which did not allow me to speak up for myself or be myself around other people. I learned the hard way, but I did learn.
I realized that the biggest issue that I had was that I needed deliverance from people. That meant that I would no longer worry about what other people thought about me. There were things happening in a church that I decided to attend to help the new church get started. I observed a lot of things that was wrong, according to the bible, not me. I didn't say anything about it, because I was a 'people pleaser'. It just happened that something really bad took place and I had to leave because of the hurt that I went through. Don't end up being a 'people pleaser' it will hurt you in the long run. PRAISE THE LORD!
