GO FOR THE GOLD

Hello, Mighty Woman of God.  I speak blessings upon your life and your entire household.  This week we are going to GO FOR THE GOLD!  I am going to give the messages from the book of Hebrews the 12th Chapter.

(Hebrews 12:1-4), Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.  Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right had of the throne of God.  Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lost heart. In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.

The other day I was watching the Olympics and they showed a commercial about how much it takes for people to compete in the Olympics.  To be in the Olympics, you have to start practicing your sport at a very young age, some at the age of 3.  The person that has tried out and competed in the Olympics has most likely gave up a lot of things.  That person stays focus on the goal that they have placed in their mind that they want to achieve.  Through falling, sweating, swollen hands, fingers and ankles.  Sprung wrist and toes; people go through a lot to achieve that one goal, which is to compete in the Olympics.  They spend every waking moment practicing and getting their mind set to the point where they seem to eat and breathe their particular sport.  That person has endured some of the toughest things that we probably would quit.

Jesus Christ went through much more that we could every imagine.  When I watch the movie, The Passion of Christ, it is very hard for me to watch as even the actor goes through the pain.  Even though I know that this is a movie and the man is acting a role.  But what I do know is that Jesus Christ went through everything that was going on in the movie.  Jesus was whipped with something called catanine tails.  That actually pulls your skin off each time you use it.

Sin hinders us from getting God's best.  That thing that you know God wants you to be delivered from or that person, place or things that is keeping us from running the race with everything within us.  We don't want to suffer for 5 minutes let alone 5 years.  When dealing with that sin that is keeping us out of the race, we have to fix our eyes on the prize (Jesus).  Have the faith that He will walk with you through your pain.  It is painful to give up something that we have been doing for years.  Deliverance can be painful, but think on this:  Have you been whipped, has anyone put a crown of thorns on your head, do you have nails pierced through your skin.  Jesus endured, so that we don't have too.  Jesus endured all the way unto death.  Are you willing to just sweat a little bit? LET US PRAY!

Heavenly Father, I praise you on today, Lord I ask that you create in me a clean heart and right spirit.  Comfort me and walk with me as I go through my deliverance.  That thing Lord that you know I need to let go of.  I pray that you renew my mind so that I can run this race and glorify You.  Lord when I think that I can't make it or I want to give up, I will keep in my mind that Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior never gave up and He did it for me, in Jesus name Amen!

RELATIONSHIP THROUGH PRAYER

Hello, my sisters in Christ Jesus.  I pray that you are all blessed and highly favored of our Lord Jesus Christ.  I like today's message and I hope it's a timely one for you and that you are blessed by it.

 

(2 Chronicles 7:13-16) "When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.  Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place, I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there".

Relationship - A state of connectedness between people; closeness Personal - peculiar or proper to private concerns. (Webster’s New College Dictionary, Third Edition, pp.

Woman of God let me ask you this question, do you have prayer or do you have a prayer life? Years ago my mentor asked me, “When do you have devotion time?” I had no idea what she was talking about, but I really didn't want her to know. I said, "I pray every day". Then she said, "That’s not the same as devotion time".  She told me that if I got up earlier in the day the Lord would make sure that I would not be tired.  He would give me more energy than I had waking up at my usual time and she was right.

I had a quiet place in the attic of my house and I cleaned it out for my devotion time. I would get up at five o'clock in the morning for prayer and get ready for work at six o'clock. When I first started getting up early, my body really wanted that extra hour of sleep. For the first week I had to literally push myself out of bed, I would just fall on the floor. After a period of time, I would be in such a hurry to get to my prayer closet because that is where I would go to meet God. I felt like He was always waiting there for me and I didn't want to disappoint Him.

The Lord gave me another way to look at those scriptures.  Watch this:  God says, “If you turn away from sin and pray for forgiveness with a spirit of humility, He will forgive you.  He will open up the heavens (which were shut to you because you did not repent and pray for forgiveness).  His eyes will be open and His ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.  (This place) God is referring to your heart, not a room or building.  God has chosen you (set you apart for holiness).  That His Name will be in your heart forever.  And if His Name is always in your heart then prayers offered from your heart will be heart.  And God will never take His eyes off of you or His heart.

The Lord wants to have a relationship with you. Not just to hear your prayer request or hear you read off your list of things you want Him to do for you. The more time you spend with God, the closer your relationship with Him will be. You will find yourself walking in God's favor every day. You need it. Your devotional time with the Lord will bless you so much. You will notice a change in your life, on the job, in your family and every area in your life. You need to be jealous when it comes to having a personal relationship with Him!  LET US PRAY!

Heavenly Father, I You honor and praise on today.  Lord, I pray for a deeper and closer relationship with You. Lord, remove any obstacles that may be keeping from have a peculiar and closer relationship with You, in Jesus name, Amen.

TAKING BACK YOUR REMOTE

Hello, Mighty Woman of God.  I pray that you are blessed and highly favored of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

This is a message that was included in my first book.  "Spiritual Growth for Women - Breaking Shackles".  I thought is was time to post for those who are in this situation.  Love you, my sisters in Christ.

(Psalms 29:11),  The Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blesses His people with peace.

 Mighty woman of God, it’s time for you to get your remote back. Yes, your remote! Picture this: you’re watching a program on television and every time a commercial comes on the person with the remote starts changing the channel. You don’t say anything but it is really annoying you. You just keep looking at the person with the remote, wishing they would stop pressing the button.

My question to you is, “Does someone else have your remote? By this, I’m asking, are you allowing someone else to control you? Do their reactions determine what type of day you are going to have? Are you constantly worried about whether they are going to be checking your phone messages?  Do you have to make sure you are home at the same time every day or else you are accused of cheating?  If you have any of those problems I just mentioned, then you have given your remote to someone else.  You are allowing someone to control you.

In my early 30's, I gave my remote to someone.  I had no control over anything in my life because of this person.  I went through mental, physical and emotional abuse.  He knew which buttons to press to make my life a living hell.  Whatever he said, I did, just to keep peace in my house.

One day I heard the Spirit of the Lord say to me, "Who are you?" I had no idea.  Never in a million years would I have thought that I would be so lost and allowing someone else to control me and my actions.  I was a strong woman before this person came into my life.  I started praying, something I hadn't done in ten years. I took my remote back (my life).  The remote symbolizes your life. I hope this message can save you ten years.

Here’s what I want you to do, refuse to let that person, place or thing control you.  Enjoy who you are and whatever decisions that you make with your life let them be yours.  Hold on to your own remote, it's your life, make up in your mind that you will no longer allow someone else to change your channel from peace to sorrow, joy to bitterness and hatred.  You should be able to control your own life.  Just because you put your remote down for a moment, doesn’t give any man, woman or child, the right to pick it up and begin changing your station.  LET US PRAY!

Heavenly Father, I give You all the praise and honor on today.  Lord, I pray that You give me the strength to take back whatever the enemy has stolen from me.  I pray also for wisdom and knowledge concerning any situation that may be controlling me.  Lord, I want to walk under Your guidance and authority.  Lord, I thank you for giving me strength to control my own life, and that I will have no fear to take back my remote.  I thank You Lord, for keeping me safe through this journey of my life, in Jesus name, Amen.

SHIFT

Hello, Mighty Woman of God!  I pray that you are all blessed and highly favored of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

You will have to put your spiritual cap on for this message, but I believe that you will be blessed. EACH TIME THAT YOU SHIFT YOU GO HIGHER AND HIGHER

When you are driving a stick-shift you have to learn the fill of the car to know exactly when to shift gears.  If you do not shift gears at the right time you are putting your engine in danger and possibly setting yourself up to having to buy a new engine.  If you don't shift gears when you're supposed to your car will make a loud noise and then shut off.  

Woman of God, there will come a time in your life where God is telling you SHIFT.  Meaning, you have to change your gears or your speed because you are headed in the wrong direction.  Or you are moving backwards and this will cause you spiritual failure (engine trouble).  If you do not SHIFT at the precise time that God is telling you to, you will get stuck and eventually will shut down.  Just like operating a stick-shift, you have to know when to SHIFT.  The right amount of prayer and the right amount of praise and studying the Word of God. 

How do you know when to shift?  If you keep doing the same thing and your outcome is the same bad thing, then it's time to SHIFT.  If you are trying to somehow make it through the day without having signs of depression, it's time to SHIFT.  If you have come to a point where your heart feels so empty and you feel like you are alone, it's time to SHIFT.  If you know without a doubt that God has promised you something and you have not received it yet, it's time to SHIFT.  Don't keep going backwards.  Learn how to evenly shift-gears so that you can move forward.  AMEN!

DON'T LOOK BACK

Hello to my sisters in Christ Jesus.  I pray that you are blessed and highly favored of our Lord, Jesus Christ and that you will prosper as you follow after Christ.

 

This is one of those messages that the Holy Spirit tells me to write even though I am reluctant.  But when that happens, I know that the message will be a blessing of hope for someone else.  As you know, when I first started this ministry, I promised to be honest and upfront.  It's all about the Lord and you.

 

(Genesis 19:23-26), The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.  Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven; And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.  But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

 

The Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of their sinful nature and the fact that those in the city had no reverence or fear of the Lord.  And the reason why Lots wife was turned into a pillar of salt was because she did what the Lord told her not to do (look back).

 

A lot of times we find ourselves in between letting go and holding on.  Sometimes we might let go of something that we should have held on to.  And other times we find ourselves holding on to what we should let go.  Being in a abusive relationship can sometimes cause us to look back.  Why do we look back when we know the danger that lies ahead?  Maybe we look back because our desire to keep that person in our lives is stronger than our desire to make ourselves happy and safe.  Maybe we look back because we have been with that person so long and we refuse to believe that they will never change.  Maybe we look back because we refuse to believe that the person is not trying to hold on to us.  Sometimes when we decide to leave a toxic relationship whether it is (emotional, mental or physical abuse) we move just enough to keep that person in our lives.  It's emotionally and mentally draining we that person that we are supposed to trust cheats on us.  And we accept that persons lie because if we accept the truth, we have to do something about it.  As long as that person keeps lying to you, you can keep lying to yourself. We can imagine how great it would be to keep that person and have a healthy relationship but our imagination cannot conceive the fact that we can be in a healthy relationship with someone else. 

 

Why do we stay in abusive relationships?  When did we get to that point where we lost ourselves in a toxic relationship?  When did it all go wrong?  When did we start to see ourselves as meaningless creatures.  The answers to those questions are different for each one of us that decide to stay.  As a little girl watching a Disney movie, we believed that we could marry our Prince Charming.  We believe that we are Princess's and that someday our Prince Charming will come along.  What happened to that Princess?  Where is our Prince Charming?

 

We are daughters of the Most High God and there is nothing good that He will withhold from us.  I can imagine God looking down on me in the corner of my bedroom screaming because of a toxic relationship.  I am the first to admit that I don't know when I all of sudden thought of myself as a punching bag to someone.  Or even mentally abused.  There is not much of a difference between physical abuse and mental abuse.  Mental abuse can cause all kinds of health problems that you don't foresee.  Emotional and mental abuse cause just as much tears as a woman that is being hit everyday. 

 

There was a blessing waiting for Lot and his wife, but the moment she turned around she lost her life.  She could not conceive of a life without living in Sodom and Gomorrah.  There is a blessing waiting for you.  And you have to believe that there is a Prince Charming waiting for you.  It's God! God will be your Prince Charming until He prepares a husband for you.

 

Because I kept looking back, I remained in an abusive relationship for over 10 years.  And because I kept looking back, I was on marijuana and cocaine for a number of years.  You see, I was at a point where I could not conceive of living a life free from abuse and drugs.  Once I stopped looking back I could start living and looking ahead.  As long as I kept looking back, God's hands were tied, but He kept me safe.  If someone is reading this message and you have decided to leave your abusive relationship or stay off drugs, DON'T LOOK BACK!  You can do this!

 

Heavenly Father, I thank you for your love and compassion on me.  Father I asked that you touch those that are in abusive relationships, whether it is physical, emotional, mental or even drugs, letting them know that you love them, no matter what.  Remind them Father that you will never leave or forsake them.  Remind them Father that they are a child of the Most High God and your desire for them is a healthy life.  A life that will glorify you, Lord.  I pray Father for the safety of those that may be in an unhealthy relationship.  I ask you Father to place a hedge of protection around them, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. I speak life over them right now in the name of Jesus, Amen!

A REASON FOR THE SEASON - BEHIND THE SCENES

Good morning, Ladies.  I pray that you are all blessed and highly favored of our Lord, Jesus Christ and that each day you draw near to Him.

(Ecclesiastes 3:1), There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: READ 3:1-8

How long is a season?  How long is a season to God?  Which season am I in?  How long will this one last?

God's timing is not our timing.  God's season is not the same as our four seasons?  God's ways are not our ways?  Sometimes a season for us can last for 1 week to 5 years.  In our world we have four seasons (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall).  So when someone told me that what I was going through would last for a season, I thought to myself, "This will all be over in the Fall".  Our seasons are not God's seasons.  So how do I know when the season is coming?  How do I know when the season is ending?

Before each season (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall), there is something happening in the realm of nature that we do not see.  We can gauge were we are with the weather changes. Because of the changes in the weather, we know which season is coming and when it is going to finally be here. Just before Winter sets in, you might began to notice the leaves falling off the trees, the sky begins to look cloudy and a few other things will began to happen to prepare us for the changing of that season. 

My point is that there is always something happening behind the scenes for each season that we don't know about.  When it comes to you waiting for your season to pass, God is always working on your behalf and you may not see what is taking place, but just know that God is moving.  God is always thinking about you and He will never leave nor forsake you.  Even when you don't know God's plan for you, just know that He does have one.  When you can't see God's hand, trust His plan.  So if you are trusting in God with your life and the things that you need and desire to have in your life, know this; IT'S BEHIND THE SCENE.

 

No matter what season you are in, stay prayerful, worship the Lord in a Spirit of Adoration, praise God even when you think that you are in your darkest hour.  I promise you, God is working it out BEHIND THE SCENE.  So even though you don't see a way out or see your season of despair coming to an end, God's is working BEHIND THE SCENE.  Just like the seasons change from Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, even the smallest of animal creatures prepare for the next season, you have to prepare for the next season also.

 

Heavenly Father, forgive me for my sins.  I thank you for your mercy and grace that you show me everyday.  Father help me to hold on to your unchanging hand and to touch the helm of your garment when I don't feel your presence in my life.  Father, when I am in a season that I feel lonely, scared, despair, unhealthy, remind me that you are working everything out for me, so that you will be glorified.  Thank you Father in Jesus name, Amen!

SMITE THEM ALL!

Good morning, my sisters in Christ Jesus.  Today's message will probably make you laugh a little bit.  Everyone needs a good laugh now and then.  And sometimes when even need to hear that someone else has gone through the same thing or even thought the same way that you did.

 

(Prov. 24:17), do not gloat when your enemy falls; when he stumbles, do not let your heart rejoice, or the Lord will see and disapprove and turn his wrath away from him.  (Luke 20:42-43), David himself declares in the Book of Psalms:  "The Lord said to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet".

 

I did not know that the closer I got to Christ the closer my enemies were to me. In other words, I did not expect certain people in my circle of friends to become my enemies.

 

So here I am crying because people are talking behind my back.  "She thinks she's all that.  Now she thinks she's too good for us".  I am such a people person and I think that I am easy to get along with.  But now here I am crying because of my so-called friends.  My prayer at that time went a little bit like this.  "Lord, smite them, smite them all Lord.  They are talking about me and you said that you would smite my enemies, so begin smiting.  Lord you said you would make my enemies my footstool".  I actually had a vision of me standing on a pile of bodies, with this Hercules stand and my cape flowing in the air. 

 

Well needless to say, my enemies were not smited nor did I stand on that tall hill of bodies for my footstool.  What I did get from my Father in Heaven was this, "How dare you even think that you are better than any one of my children.  How dare you not show them the same compassion that I have shown you.  How dare you even think that they don't deserve the same love that I have shown you.  I did not smite you, I sent my Son to Save you."  That was the day that I learned the difference between love and compassion.  I was very surprised when the Lord told me that I did not have compassion for a certain individual.  And I had to ask for forgiveness and a spirit of compassion.

 

Love is always easy, when your are returning exactly what you receive.  Compassion is much more difficult because no matter what someone has done to you, you still have compassion on them.  Even though that person has treated you horrible, compassion says, love them anyway.  You see, not only did Jesus Christ love us enough to die on the cross for ALL of us, He also showed compassion when we did not show compassion towards Him.  Compassion says, "I will love you in spite of your actions towards me.  Compassion says, "I will not treat you like you have treated me.  Compassion says, "I will die for you, even though you don't deserve it".  Compassion never laughs or get happy when the very person that treated you wrong, is suffering through some issues.  Compassion, goes to that very same person and say, "Is there anything that I can do for you?"

 

I have had a woman talk about me to so many people and she did that everyday, in front of my face.  I don't know why but she did.  One day she comes to me and say, "I beat you thought that I would be the last person to ask you for prayer".  I said, "You're right.  Give me a few moments then come back".   The Lord sent her to me and now it was not about me, but about the love of God and that woman.  The reason why I asked her to come back was that I had to pray and make sure that my heart was right.

 

Heavenly Father, please forgive me for my sins.  Create in me a clean heart and a righteous spirit  in Your sight.  Lord I thank you for loving me and showing me compassion when you died on the cross for me.  And Lord, even though I might not understand why things are happening the way that they are or why people are treating me the way that they are, teach me Lord how to always be compassionate.  In Jesus Name, Amen!
