SWALLOW IT

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I pray that you are all blessed and highly favored of the Lord Jesus Christ on today.  I speak joy into your life and I also pray that you have been blessed through "Spiritual Growth for Women Ministry".

(Proverbs 16:18-19), Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall.  It is better to live humbly with the poor than to share plunder with the proud.

Woman of God, sometimes you just have to swallow it.  Swallow it, what do you mean?  Glad you asked, PRIDE.

I have had a hard time with this one myself.  Sometimes you just have to swallow your pride and just be quiet or say I'm sorry to keep the peace in your home and life.  You are going to have to have a big throat at times, get a tall glass of water, and swallow your pride.  I was the type of person that despised saying the words, "I'm sorry".  So what I preferred to do was not do anything or say anything that would cause me to say, "I'm sorry'.  Well, that only worked for a minute, sometimes I wouldn't make it.  Don't feel bad, I am still working on that pride thing.

The reason why the scripture says that pride goes before destruction is because, if you are prideful, then you will ultimately be destructive.  You will disprute your household.  If you are in a disagreement with your spouse or someone else, sometimes you just have to swallow your pride and walk away.  It is very hard for some of us to do that because (1) you may be right (2) you have to have the last word (3) you just like confusion.  It's definitely in one of those categories.  I fit in at least two of them.

If you have a problem with pride, you know it and may not want to admit it but you have to.  You have to develop a humble spirit.  God cannot use pride, but He will use a spirit of humility.  It takes a lot of practice and prayer to get to the point where you are not full of pride.  A person that is prideful is also vain, neither of the two are of God.  You might find that the more humble in spirit you are the more blessed you will be.  God will reward you for at least trying.  You might mess up but you have to keep trying to get rid of that prideful spirit, it is of the enemy.  Pride has been the cause of a lot of wars in this world, so it will definitely cause a war in your home.  My advice is get a tall glass of water and get to swallowing.  It means that you are dying to you.  Jesus says, to follow Him, we must pick up our cross and walk.  That means you must die to your old nature and put Him first.  We dealing with pride, you must put the other person first.  Once you begin to put the other person first, then you will also develop a love for that person.

I know that there will be occasions when you are too mad to apologize, get your water and do it anyway, that humbles yourself and that is what God desires.  Your throat may be as big as a basketball once you start swallowing all that pride, but your heart will be softened and you would have gained a friend, JESUS CHRIST!  I think that is a small price to pay, don't you?

WILL YOU HAVE ENOUGH OIL?

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I miss you.  I pray that everyone is blessed and highly favored of the Lord God today.  If you don't think so than think back over your life and then you will truly say that you are blessed!

(Proverbs 31:18), She sees her trading profitable and her lamp does not go out at night.

Her lamp does not go out at night because she was wise enough to put enough oil it her lamp, just in case.  You have to have enough of Jesus Christ in you just in case.  Just in case you are going through a desolate valley in your life. Others around you are falling by the wayside but you won't because you have enough Christ in you to make it to the other side, where you will find peace.

I don't know about you but Sunday services is never enough oil for me.  I need Wednesday night bible study and prayer in between those days.  This particular wise woman in the bible was out at night with other women to meet Jesus Christ.  The other women ran out of oil because they did not anticipate having to wait for a long amount of time.  The woman that had enough oil had sense enough to bring extra just in case.  Once their lamp ran out of oil, they ask her for some of hers and she said no, because she wanted to have enough.

Woman of God, do you have enough oil in your lamp?  Let's put it another way, do you have enough of the Spirit of the Lord in you for the "just in case"?  Life's circumstances are going to come.  Distress and heartache is going to come no matter who you are.  Will you have enough oil in your lamp?  Will you have enough of the Spirit of the Lord built up in you to endure lifes trials and tribulations.  Trouble don't last always, but it will last longer if you are not built up in the Lord Jesus Christ.  You have to have enough for the times that it seems like you are all alone.  For the times that it seems like you are in a spiritual desert and God is not with you.  For those times, you have to stay built up in the Lord.  You have to be able to pray and praise your way out of circumstances that seem to be swallowing you up by the minute.  For the times that it seems like you have been praying and laboring in the spirit for a change in your situation.

For the "just in case" in your life, you may need to put your worship cd's in the car.  You may have to read your bible on your lunchbreak.  You may need to anoint your home and your children.  You may need to sit quitely, for the "just in case".  God does not want you to run out of oil.  He needs for you to be built up in Him as you grow and go to the next level in Him.  AMEN!  GOD BLESS YOU!

DEVELOPING A FRIENDSHIP WITH GOD

Mighty Woman of God!

I had to post something that I read earlier this morning.  But I will tell you a short story.  The other day my daughter said to me, "I don't know how you did it mom, but you are God's best friend".  I laughed about it and told her, I spend a lot of time with Him.  The reason why she was stating that was because I had prayed about something that apparently happened for her.

You are as close to God as you choose to be.  Like any friendship, you must work at developing your friendship with God.  It won't happen by accident.  It takes desire, time, and energy.  If you want a deeper, more intimate connection with God you must learn to honestly share your feelings with Him, trust Him when He asks you to do something, learn to care about what he cares about, and desire His friendship more than anything else.  God doesn't expect you to be perfect, but he does insist on complete honesty.  None of God's friends in the Bible were perfect.

One day I was in prayer, and I said to God, "Lord, I want you to call me your friend".  That same day, I was in a prayer group/bible study at a person's home and she leaned over and said to me, God said you are His friend.  I just sat there and cried because no one but God was in the room with me when I made that comment.  You see, it is easy to be friends with someone that you have something in common with.  The thing that I have in common with God is that we both desire and have compassion for people.  We both want all to come to know Christ.  Now that God and I desire the same things, He gives me whatever spiritual gifts I need to accomplish what we both desire.  I can get a prayer through and I am not going to be boastful.  But if I cannot get a prayer through then the ministry would be dead and why would you trust me to pray for you.  You should desire for people to say the same thing about you.  Some of you, really don't have any friends, so why not tell God all your problems?  Why not tell God all your inner most feelings and secrets, He won't gossip to someone else, that's for sure?  You won't hear it in the congregation either.  GOD BLESS YOU! ONE THING AT A TIME

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I pray that you are all blessed and highly favored of the Lord on today.  The Lord has a great message for us today.  Thanks for reading.

(Ephesians 3:16-19), I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.  And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

One day at a time!  That's the Lord's message for you today.  I think about the times that I spent in church services or classes and I was often reminded of the numerous of sins that are not of God.  No sin is of God.  You sit and listen to the pastor's message and you are moved by the words but deep in the back of your mind, you know that the sin that he is preaching about, is something that you are still struggling with.  While you are in church and are being convicted of a particular sin or sins in your life, it is the Holy Spirit that is tugging on your inner being.  It does not mean that He is mad at you, the Spirit of the Lord is trying deliver you and help you keep your deliverance or obtain deliverance from Him.  The pastor might be the one that lay hands on you, but without the anointing of the Holy Spirit you will not be delivered.

Woman of God, I want to encourage you today, to take one thing at a time.  If you are trying to deal  with everything that is going wrong in your life all at one time, this can be a very tremendous burden to you and you will feel defeated before you have even begun.  Start with the little things and work your way up.  Some people get offended at church because the Holy Spirit tugged at their spirit and they don't want to go back in fear that they have not released all the sin in their life.  It doesn't work that way.  The more you hear the Word of God, He gives you power and strength to overcome battles and temptations in your life.  The more rooted in Christ Jesus the more power you will have to defeat the enemy 

Might I suggest that you make a list of the worldly things that you do or the things that you know are not pleasing to the Lord and pray over them.  Ask the Lord Jesus for deliverance in those areas of your life and the power to stay delivered.  You don't have to tell anyone about your list.  It's between you and the Lord Jesus.  There may come a time when you are about to do or say something that is on your list and you will hear the Holy Spirit say, "don't do that, or don't say that".  The more obedient that you are to that tugging in your inner being, the more victorious you will become and powerful to the glory of God.  Once the Lord sees that you are at least willing to try to become more like Him, He will move mountains on your behalf.  God is so compassionate and patient.  The Lord God wants you to be free from sin, and if you want the same thing, then you and God are now working together.  It's better to work with the Lord than to work without Him.  It's better to walk with Jesus, than to walk alone.

I still have a list that the I am believing the Spirit of the Lord Jesus is working.  Every time I think that I have something beat, another sin replaces that one.  I stay prayerful and I always acknowledge the fact that I am undone in certain areas of my life.  I am honest with the Lord and I have often said, "Lord, that one is a hard one for me to overcome, or Lord, I've been doing it this way all my life".  I am not above correction from the Lord.  There have also been times that I just didn't make it and then I have to ask for God's forgiveness and start all over again.  One more important thing God wants you to remember is that no one is above sin.  Never let anyone make you think that you are not worthly of the love of God.  If you begin to feel that way, you will make excuses as to why you can't go to church and the enemy will have you exactly where he wants you, feeling unworthly and defeated.  A spirit of defeat always leaves the door open for the spirit of depression.

One thing at a time, ladies.  One thing at a time!  GOD BLESS YOU!

SPIRITUAL GROWTH FOR WOMEN MINISTRY

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

Thank you all for your encouragement and support in the inspirational writing and publication of my new book.  The Lord has commissioned me to write four books.  I am working on the second one and the third book, God wants me to publish a book of Spiritual Warfare Prayers.  I really don't know how He is going to work on it, but I have to be obedient and let go and let God.  I  am fulfilling God's purpose for my life and at the same time fulfilling my life's passion as far as the Women's Ministry.  My compassion is to have a woman's ministry to empower and encourage women.  It's not about the money to me, although, if you purchase a book, it will be supportive.  My prayer is that I can have enough money set aside to have women's conferences and not charge anything for the women.

FOR THE GLORY OF GOD

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

Thank you so much for the responses that I received from you about my upcoming book.  I have been writing since the third grade and I guess I am now ready for the Lord to use me to minister through my writing.  I thank God so much for pushing me, He has given me the talent and I have to use it for His purpose.  You ladies in the ministry have been a great inspiration for me to keep writing, I thank God for you.

(1 Corinthians 10:31-33), So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.  do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, or Greeks or the church of God, even as I try to please everybody in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved.

(1 Corinthians 11:1), Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.

This scripture is a reminder to you that in everything that you do, you should be doing it for the glory of God.  The Apostle Paul is saying that he is not seeking to be praise by man, but he is glorifying God for the good of many.  He seeks to do everything so that the people will praise God and will observed his good behavior and want to be saved.  Paul is saying that we should do everything to the glory of God; therefore through our actions, others will be saved.

Do not cause anyone to stumble.  This scripture is saying that you should be very careful of what you say and do because others are watching you.  If you are not carrying yourself as a Christian or woman of God, you will cause someone else to stumble in their walk with Christ.  You never know who could be watching you and your demeanor so be very watchful of your own behavior.

Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.  This scripture is very important because you should be following the Word of Christ.  You are to be an example for others as a Christian.  Now, if someone is not following Christ, then you should not be following them.  Know what the bible says concerning certain things and you will not stumble by following someone that is not following Christ.  Sometimes we get caught up in all the fancy things that people say and when you really think about it, they are not knowledgeable about the Word of God.  That is why it is so important that you know the Word of God and follow your heart and follow after Christ. 

Years ago, I made a tremendous mistake by following man and not Christ.  I knew what the bible said concerning the way the pastor, ministers and church should act but I ignored the signs that God was revealing to me.  I wanted friends, instead of the truth.  By the time I decided to listen to the Lord, I was wounded in that church.  There are certain guidelines in the bible, that a pastor should have in place before he/she decides to start a ministry.  These guidelines where not followed. 

In conclusion, the message is to glorify the Lord God in everything you do and say, therefore you will not have anyone to say that you don't act like a Christian.  Once people find out that you are a Christian, they tend to watch you and everything that you do, waiting for you to do something wrong.  They want to say gotcha!.  When you are at work, you are to follow all the rules of that workplace, that is how you can glorify God in the workplace.  Don't take extra time for lunch, leave work early, or come in late.  When in you home, you are to glorify God by taking good care of the place that He has given you to live.  Clean up you house as if God Himself is coming to visit you.  If you are doing the smaller tasks, do it to the glory of God.  This is a form of worship.  GOD BLESS YOU!

LET GO AND LET GOD

Good morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I thank God for each of you and pray for you daily.  I know that God is still in the blessing business because of your positive testimonies.  Praise God.

I was reading a book this morning and the author was stating that a lot of times we say we trust God, but we don't give Him the steering wheel of our lives.  Then I was reminded of an incident that happened to me years ago.

One day I was on my way to work with my youngest son in a car seat.  I had to drop him off at the babysitters house, then park my car in a parking lot, then catch the train.  It was very cold that day and it snowed the day before.  The streets were very wet, but I was driving very cautiously.  I was going down a hill and right in front of me I could see that the road appeared to be wet.  As I approached the point where the road seemed to have water, I realized that it was a sheet of ice.  I quickly hit my breaks and then the car starting sliding.  I lost control over my wheel.  Right in front of me was a ditch and a large street light pole, my car was headed right towards it.  I thought to myself that I was going to be in the hospital and I thought about my baby in the car seat.  There was no way that I was going to miss hitting that pole.  I took my hands off the steering wheel and said JESUS!  That's all I said, was JESUS!

The moment I said those words, my car shifted and the wheel turned, my car turned around completely and I ended up in the same direction that I was going in the first place.  I kid you not, this really happened.  I couldn't believe it.  I was motionless.  I was in shock for a few minutes.  Then all of a sudden, I started praising God and rebuking the devil.  I laughed all the way to the babysitters house.  I laughed at the devil and said, "You tried to kill me".  I kept laughing and praising God.

So that's my story, let go of the things that you cannot control.  Let God steer your life and He will steer you in the right direction.  Laugh at the devil when he tries to disrupt your life.  Laugh at him and praise God for the victory over your circumstance.  GOD BLESS YOU!
