GET BEAUTIFUL

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!  I pray that you are all blessed on today and that you continue to walk towards Jesus Christ.  Remember to pray daily and read the Word of God.

(1 Peter 3:3-5), Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes.  Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful.  They were submissive to their own husbands.

I am going to put some things concerning that scripture to rest. Let's stop the confusion from all the nay-Sayers and "you shouldn't wear that", women right now.  Some people say that the scripture means that women should not wear jewelry, nice clothes, wear makeup, get their hair or nails done.  Then you also have some men that have decided to take that scripture way out of content to keep their wives from looking nice at church or anytime they leave the house.

History Lesson:  The women of Egypt wore a lot of makeup, hair adornment and jewelry but they had no reverence or love of the Almighty God.  They had the love of material things and many gods.  Their beauty was very noticeable on the outside, which God is saying to you, not to let those material items be the only beauty that you posses.  Let your beauty be on the inside.  God doesn't care what you wear on the outside as long as it's not where the beauty stops.  I really like jewelry and I used to have my nails designed differently every week and that did not mean that I was not a Godly woman.

Woman of God, I'm gonna keep it real with this message.  We all feel much better when we leave the beauty shop, with our hair and nails done and maybe even a pedicure.  It sometimes has a way of lifting our spirits up and can make us feel better on the worst days.  God definitely desires for women to feel like we are special and not have low self-esteem.  God is simply stating that women should let our inward beauty be that of a gentle and quiet spirit.  We are to put our hope in Him which is the most beautiful thing about us, not the makeup, jewelry or hair.  If you have all those material things in order but have no reverence of love for the Lord, He says you have no great worth to Him.

Live it up! As long as you can afford it, look as beautiful as you want to on the outside, just make sure that the most important part (your heart) is for Jesus.  The next time a woman gives you a funny look or turns their nose up at you because of your outward beauty, just remember to be humble and quiet in spirit, smile, give a God bless you to them because they have no idea that her attitude just blew her so-called inner beauty.  Let them know where you get your hair and nails done.

The "Women's Conference" is on May 25, 2013.  I do realize that it is a little ways a way but time goes by quickly.  The conference is of no cost to you.  All you have to do is sign up in my events calendar, come out and fellowship have some snacks and gets blessed.  If you have a friend that you what to invite, please include her name as well.  Thank you so and I pray that I the Lord will touch your heart to attend the conference.  God bless you.
