DISTRACTED

(John 11:25-26), Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life, He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.  Do you believe this?

I dedicated my life to the Lord Jesus Christ, when I was 19 years of age.  I was reading a book and at the end was a simple prayer to pray and ask the Lord Jesus Christ to come into my life and my heart. My first husband was in the Nave and we were living in Misawa, Japan.  I used to take long walk in the part at night because it seemed like every star in the entire world was in Japan. I began reading my bible and praying every day.

At first it was difficult understanding the King James Bible, but I managed to somewhat understand enough to know that Jesus Christ was the answer to all my needs and wants and that prayer was the most effective tool when it came to having a relationship with the Lord. I had a prayer life and I was in love with Jesus Christ.  The walks in the park was my special time with Him and I loved that special time.  I enjoyed being in the presence of the Lord and I knew that I never wanted to give that up.

When I returned to the states I was divorced and very lonely. As I got older and life became more complicated, I ventured down a different road than the one that God wanted me to take.  I had my first son by the time I was nineteen years old and already going through my first divorce.  I would still pray, but I had no prayer life.  I began hanging out with the wrong crowd of people and made a lot of wrong decisions.

I started drinking, smoking marijuana and cocaine.  That became a part of my lifestyle.  I didn’t go out partying on the weekends because the type of partying that I was doing wasn’t exactly legal.  I found myself in places that I would have never, if it were not for drugs.  I looked over a lot of things in my life while I was addicted.  I spent time in rat infested houses just to do drugs.  Just by looking at me, you would have never know that I was an addict.  I was a working class addict.  I worked in corporate offices and wore suits to work everyday.  I went through drug rehab and still went back to doing drugs.

One day I found a pocket bible in my 13 year old son’s pocket.  He had been carrying it to school.  I asked him why he had it in his pocket and he said, “Just in case I need it”.

Then I remembered a promise that I made to God when I was that 19 year old young lady that took long walks in the park praying and just having conversations with the Lord.

That my kids would be raised in the church.  So I started going to church.  Did I stop doing drugs and drinking?  No, I didn’t.  But I did begin to pray more and ask God to deliver me.  Was I delivered right away?  No.  But I kept going back to church.  I would go to church and come home to drugs and drinking.  Was I mocking God? No, because I kept on praying and kept on going back to church.  I recognized that I couldn’t be restored without the Lord.

One day, after service, I went to Bible Sunday School and as we were going into class, our Sunday School Teacher was anointing everyone’s forehead.  I got my forehead anointed and went to find my seat.  Once I sat down I began crying.  I cried the whole hour.  The teacher didn’t say anything to me, but she did put a box of tissue on my desk and she kept on teaching.  That was the day that I was delivered from alcohol and drug abuse.  It was sealed because I kept going back.  What I didn’t get from the 10 Step Program, I received from my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Woman of God, if you are at a point in your life where the devil seems to be wreaking havoc, it is because he wants to keep you distracted and keep you from the Lord’s promise.  As longs as Satan can keep you concentrating on the things of this world, he will keep you from the blessings of God.

Satan wants to keep you distracted by using any means necessary, so that you will not be in the ministry that God has for you.  He wants to keep you distracted, so that darkness will overshadow the light of the Lord.  The more blessings that God has for you, the bigger the distractions will be in your life.

If you are distracted, it is time for you to be released from the hands of the devil.  It is time for you to start your ministry.  In fact, some of you that will read this message know that you have a ministry inside of you that needs to be birth.  Every time you try to pick yourself up, the enemy pushes you back down.  You take two steps towards God and he pushes you back three steps.

The devil is cunning, wicked and very deceitful.  Don't let the devil keep you distracted any longer.  It's time for you to go forward and not look back.  Move forward into the ministry and spiritual gifts that God has ordained for you.

TAKING TWO STEPS

Good morning, Mighty Woman of God.  I pray that you are blessed and highly favored of our Lord Jesus Christ, as you follow after Him.  I speak peace and abundantly love unto you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Today, I am going to give you a message that the Lord wanted me to give from my spiritual daughter Nicole Lofton's book titled, "The Women's restoration Devotional".
(Hebrews 12:1), Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us."
How many times has something happened and you felt stuck?  Maybe you felt like every time you even attempted to move forward, something else happened.  Maybe you cried out of frustration or maybe you felt as if you were going to lose your mind.  I have felt that way before too.
I have been in that place where it seemed like taking a step forward really resulted in taking four steps backwards and I began to wonder why.  I realized it was mostly because I was more focused on the problem instead on the problem solver (God).  Sometimes I was so focused on the problem that I could not see that there was a reason for what I was going through; it was indeed for a bigger purpose.
The trials that we face are to make us stronger, but sometimes they confuse us, they also tend to distract us, and eventually they hold us back.  when we put all our focus on the problem, the problem takes over.  We have given that problem strength that it didn't even know that we had.
In the scripture referenced above, God tells us to "lay aside every weight and sin which clings so closely and run with endurance the race that is set before us".  We have to push our problems to the side letting them know that they have no power over us.  We know that we cannot tackle our problems on our own; we need help from God.  In order to receive that help, we have to be willing to hand them over to God and let Him help us.  Let's work to keep our mind on the problem solver instead of the problem.
ME:  The bible says, "I will keep those in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on me."  I was also reminded by the Spirit of the Lord that, a lot of times, in certain circumstances in our lives, we ask God to help us with our problems; but there is also a time that we have to just say, "Father, I won't ask you to help me, I need for you to just take over.  You don't need my help, I'll just mess it up anyway by trying".  That is what God means when He says, "Take your hands off the problem, completely."  I have found that simply saying, "Spirit of the Living God, please do for me what I am incapable of doing for myself, in Jesus name, thank you."  AMEN!

WE FALL DOWN

I pray that you are all blessed and highly favored of
our Lord Jesus Christ.  And that you are growing spiritually.

Proverbs 24:16, For though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again, but the wicked are brought down by calamity.

I was talking to my oldest son the other day and he told me that when he looks at my life, he is able to be encouraged.  You know sometimes it takes a real person, someone not famous to look at and say to yourself, "I can do that, I can make it".

You see my oldest son and daughter were with me when I lost my apartment due to drugs.  They were with me when I had to give them to family members because I had to go to rehab center.  They can recall the times that lights were off.  Even though I had a great job, it went to drugs.  They can recall watching me get abused by ex.

When I left Chicago to move to Vegas, I had a servant of the Lord spirit.  I was used to teaching bible study and ministering every other week in church.  But when I got to Vegas, that all went out the window.  I enjoyed those darn slot machines.  I lost sight of my Lord Jesus.  I would say that I had definitely fallen again.

Each time that you fall down, get back up stronger.  Let that fall mean something.  Each time that I fell, it seemed to me that I got stronger and stronger.  The Lord lifted me higher and higher.  The way that you can get stronger is because you grab a hold of Jesus a little bit tighter, just touch the hem of His garment.  The next time you fall down, let that fall mean something, get back even stronger. Put up your dukes and say to the devil, "Is that all you got?"  A just man/woman falls 7 times.

Jesus is my BFF and I won't unfriend Him and He won't unfriend you. PRAISE GOD!

I pray that you are well and that you have had a joyous holiday.  I thank God you and continue to pray for you daily.

(Psalms 119:105), Your Word is a lamp unto my feet.

(Psalms 27: 1), The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life of whom shall I be afraid?

(John 8:12), When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world.  Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

Lighthouse - A tall structure topped by a powerful light used as a signal or beacon to aid marine navigation.
Navigate - To record, plan or control the position and course of a ship or aircraft. To follow a planned course on, across, or through.
Hold on now, I'm going somewhere with this.  I just need to set the stage.  If I were to put those two definitions together, I would say that a lighthouse is a large powerful structure used to keep ships on course.  I can also use those definitions to say, "Jesus Christ is a powerful Light that can keep us on course or guide us to follow the plan that He has for us; before we were born.
If I were to describe how my life used to be without Jesus Christ navigating me through the windstorms of my life, I would say that I was lost at sea.  I could not see His beacon of ling to put my life back on the planned course.  I couldn't see His powerful Light that eventually guided me through my drug addiction.  I couldn't see the Lord holding back the raging sea of physical abuse (that could have killed me) so that I could passed safely through the waters.
I have seen movies where a ship was lost at sea, and it was too dark for the captain to tell how far it was for them to reach land and suddenly there is a powerful beacon of light shining bright enough to navigate the captain to the dock.
Woman of God, when you are going through difficult times and your circumstances seem too dark to bare; trust the Lord to navigate, and keep watch over you.  He will guide you to the Light (Himself) safely.  Just because you don't see the Light doesn't mean that He is not there.  Maybe you need to change your course and follow the Lord's  plan.  Maybe you are at the point where the Lord is telling you to stay on course, but you can't see Him.  The Lord's message for you today is to stay on course, follow His plan for your life and you will see His powerful Light that is navigating your through the dark seas.  You see, Jesus Christ's Light is stronger than your darkness.  Amen!
Heavenly Father, I thank you for sending Your Son Jesus Christ to be my Light.  My prayer today, Father is that you continue to be my guiding Light.  Everywhere my footstep travel You Lord are with me.  I thank you Lord that through the rough seas of my life, You are with me.  I know Lord that you will never leave nor forsake me through my darkest hours.  I love you Lord, I pray Lord by the power of the Holy Spirit that I walk in a Spirit of Peace right now, in Jesus Name, Amen.
Don't forget to sign up for the 2nd Annual Women's Conference in Chicago, the first week in June.  I know that it seems far away but planning to hold a nice event takes a lot of time.  I want everyone to be comfortable so the renting of the space is very important.  Also you can purchase a copy of my book, "Mighty Woman of God", for less than $10 at www.amazon.com.  Thank you and be blessed.

AS SOON AS . . .

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I pray that you are all blessed and highly favored of the Lord Jesus Christ.  I speak blessings of peace and restoration into your life.

"As soon as" - - - I have heard this saying so many times.  I have ministered and prayed with a lot of people on the street and after prayer would them to visit the church.  They look at me and say, "I will as soon as I get myself together".

Without Christ there is no "as soon as".  The church is for you and the church is for sick people.  It is not a place to come once a week to show off your new garments or hats.  It not a place to come to visit your girlfriend and catch up on all the gossip and it's definitely not the place for you to go to meet men.  If you are in a anointed church, filled with the Spirit of the Lord, you are in the right place. the Lord Jesus will pour out His spirit upon you and you will be at the "as soon as" place in your life.

If I had waited for the "as soon as" in my life, I would probably be dead.  I had to get to church, I had to get to Jesus.  When I first started attending church, I was damaged, on drugs and sick.  There was no way I would have made it if it were not for Jesus reaching down in the depths of hell and saving my soul.  You can keep sitting around waiting for the "as soon as" to happen in your life, but I promise you it will never happen without the Lord.

We never know how much time we have.  What is "as soon as" is the day that Christ comes back?  Are you still saying, "as soon as".  Don't you know how valuable your life to Christ is?  If you don't, let me tell you.  He died so that you could live, not live it up.  He's calling you today, and you don't have to wait for Sunday to walk to the alter.  He's calling you into restoration.  Restore your relationship with Christ today.  Give your life to the Lord today and let Him take care of the "as soon as" part.  LET UP PRAY!

Heavenly Father, I give you honor and praise today for my very life.  Lord, I pray for your strength in my area of weakness.  Lord, I pray that you take away the "as soon as" out of my mouth that I may run to the alter just as I am.  Lord, I know that I am a sinner and I pray that you forgive me for my sins against you.  Thank you Lord for dying on the cross for my sake.  Now Lord, I give you my life, in Jesus name, Amen.

REPENTANCE . . . FORGIVENESS

Good morning, Mighty Woman of God!  I speak that the blessing of the Lord will overtake you as you seek after Him.

Today is a message that is truly dear to my heart.  Sometimes when I think about the people that are stuck because of the BIGGEST LIE that the devil constantly uses against us.  So bare with me, I am so praying that this message will FREE you from being a prisoner of your own mind.

What if Jesus were to come back today and say to you, "Daughter, I've missed you, your prayers, the way you used to worship Me, then you stopped.  Why?"

DAUGHTER:  "Lord, I tried to come back but I just felt like a hypocrite.  Even when I tried and my hearts desire was to do better, I couldn't face you knowing that all the while, I've got this demonic spirit to fight.  Lord, I felt like I let you down.

JESUS:  "Don't you know that you can't fight that battle alone.  You need to fight spirit with spirit.  You are not fighting against flesh but against principalities . . .  Why didn't you believe my own words?  (Isaiah: 43:25, "I even I, am HE who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.  (Matt. 26:41, "Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation: the spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak).  I know your spirit, my daughter and I also know that there are some days that you give it all you've got to be obedient but that flesh is still dying.  While your flesh is dying, your best weapon is ME.  Don't you know how much I love you, my daughter?  Didn't you believe (Rom. 5:8, But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us).

Woman of God, not only have I heard from people that they don't pray or attend church anymore because they have not repented.  When the man or woman of God stand before us and read "unless we repent, we will not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.  Now I'm not taking that scripture and turning it around to serve our purpose or contradict your pastor.  But the Holy Spirit gave me a revelation on that scripture.  This is exactly what the Spirit of the Lord says to you, God says, even a just man falls seven times, as long as your hearts desire is to repent, that's the heart that HE can use and work with.  God says that we don't accept HIS FORGIVENESS.  We read about it over and over and tell others, over and over but when it comes to ourselves, we are too hard on ourselves.

Now, I not stating this for the people that continuously say, "God knows my heart" and you purposely sin and do wrong and you don't even pray about it.  I'm talking about the ones that lay on their face before God and pray, worship, praise and scream out, LORD HELP ME!!  God even though they know that they have to work on some things.  A hypocrite is the person talking about everybody else sins and still dealing with the same thing.

The reason why I wrote in my book, "Breaking Shackles", a lot about the sins that I struggled with, prayed about and was delivered from is because 1st I love God so much that I am willing to put myself out there to be an open book for you.  I love God so much that I care about what He cares about most and that's you.  The longer you stay away, the easier it becomes for satan to trick you into thinking that you let God down.  I'm so glad that we serve a God that is never nor will ever be surprised by what we do and the trouble that we sometimes get ourselves in.  If you are someone that stop doing the things that you love doing (praying, singing in the choir, praising and worshiping) because you think that you're a hypocrite, GO BACK, you have a heart that God can work with.

Ladies, if you are interested in attending the 2015 Women's Day Event, please sign in through my facebook event or my email (deirdrehunt506@gmail.com or deirdrehunt506@yahoo.com.  Come on out, no matter where you are in your spiritual walk.  God has something for you.  Don't let the enemy trick you into thinking that you are too far gone.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for your love and strength that you show towards me.  Father I pray that as the women read this message that they come to you with a loving heart and accept Your forgiveness.  I pray that they accept Your love.  I speak peace over their mind right now and no weapon formed against them shall prosper..

EVEN IN YOUR DARKEST HOUR

Hello Mighty Woman of God!  I pray that you are blessed by our Lord Jesus Christ and that you will follow after Him everyday.  Make everyday of your life count for something in the Kingdom of Heaven.

(Isaiah 41:9-10), I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you.  I said, 'You are My servant; I have chosen you and have not rejected you.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

With this testimony, I fought with God like Jonah.  "Lord, is there something else that I can tell?  Lord, this is a mistake and something that I want to keep for myself.  I don't want anyone to ever know that about me.  God reminded me that it's not about me, it's about the ministry and those that will read today's message.

Even after teaching Bible Study, preaching on Sundays and striving to do what is right and keep God besides me, I mess up big time.  While living in Las Vegas, I not only had to deal with the demonic spirit of gambling but I had to deal with my anger issues.  Mind you, my life changed dramatically when I left Chicago.

I was definitely in my darkest hour.  I never thought that the Lord would still be watching out for me.  So even though He called me, anointed me, set me aside for His glory, I MESS UP.  What I learned during that period of time (38 days and 37 nights), God still got the glory.  I ended up in 3 different jails, facing charges in each one.  But the one thing that I kept saying to my family was, "God is keeping me comfortable".  When He could have turned His back on me for straying so far away, He didn't.

I ended up teaching bible study, which the Lord used me greatly to blessed the women, there were over 20 women that I ministered to.  Even when I was tired, they helped me along the way.  With no money to pay me, my bed was always made by someone.  They would order goodies for me and even make sure that I had tea every night.  God used me in a might way and I was comfortable.  There were even times that I laughed harder than I had in a long time.  The second move was lock down in a cell for 22 or 23 hours a day.  Still God kept me comfortable, He really did.  I read more and during my 1 to 2 hours out, the women surrounded me to pray for them or to tell them what God had to say to them.  I should have lost my mind staying in a cell for over 22 hours a day, but I didn't.

What you should get from this is that I messed up.  I had to pay the price according to the law but according to God's law He didn't leave me alone.  He set the ground work for me before I was born and He knew that I was going to go to jail someday (I didn't but He did).  The difference between the saints of God and those that are not saved is that God will keep you comfortable, no matter what, even in your darkest hour.  Even when you mess up so bad, He will keep you comfortable.  The above scripture applies to you and to me.  If you find that you are in your darkest hour repeat that scripture to yourself and believe it with your whole heart and soul.  PRAISE GOD!

Heavenly Father I thank You and give you all the praise for keeping, even in my darkest hour.  Thank You for keeping me comfortable even when I mess up.  Lord I pray that I receive Your love and forgiveness when I ask and I thank You that You uphold me with Your right hand and cover me securely with Your left hand.  Father I pray that You help me to forgive myself as You have forgiven me, in Jesus name, Amen.

HAVE YOU NOT HEARD?

Good morning, Mighty Woman of God!  I pray that you are all blessed by our Lord Jesus Christ.  I speak blessings of peace and security in the Lord Jesus Christ as you continue in Him on your spiritual journey.

(Isaiah 40:28), Do you not know?  Have you not heard?  The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom.

There will always be times in our lives where we grow weary, tired of waiting on God to move or bless us in our circumstances.  Some people say, "pray until something happens".  As for me, I believe that there will be times that we should pray until something happens and other times where we should pray, give it to God in trust and let it go.

Why do I feel that way?  If you have a relationship with the Lord, I mean you hear from Him without a doubt on a daily basis, then you will also know when you are in spiritual warfare and have to keep praying for a breakthrough or keep battling until that things comes to pass.  Daniel prayed the same prayer for 21 days, Daniel did not give up on God.  He had the faith that God was going to bless him with an answer.  Then the Angel of the Lord appeared to Daniel and said, God heard you 21 days ago but I was fighting demons on your behalf and I finally had to get some help from the Archangel Michael.  So at last here I am with your answer from God (that scripture is paraphrased).  Daniel prayed until something happened.

Remember the man that approached Jesus asking for Him to heal his daughter because she was very sick.  That man had faith that Jesus was the Son of God and healing was all in His hands.  Jesus asked where the man lived and the man said, "Just speak the word and I know she will be healed".

Sometimes we get tired and grow weary while we wait on the Lord to answer our prayers.  Have you not heard, God never grows weary or tired.  God says that we should not let the fact that our prayers are not yet answered get in the way of our sleeping or resting.  We have to get to the point where we pray that prayer and rest in God.  God says that there are so many of us not resting and that a spirit of heaviness comes in and that will cause depression to come into our lives.  God says that resting and sleeping are two different things.  Some of us spend too much time trying to understand why, when and where God will bless us (His understanding, who can fathom).

If a spirit of heaviness is trying to creep into your house (your body, mind), the bible says to put on a garment of praise.  Praise God anyhow.  Praise Him for your answer.  Praise Him for your blessings, even when you don't see it, it's on the way.  God knows what He doing.  He has been at it for a long time.  Trust Him, He does not need to sleep for an hour.  He won't call in sick.  He is in this race with you and He will carry you when you are weary.  AMEN!

HUG THE LITTLE GIRL WITHIN ME

Hello Ladies, I'm back.  Even though I don't post everyday, I am always praying for you.  There are a lot of names for me to call out so don't worry, God's got you.  God bless you and you'll love this devotional.

Today's devotional though is from a book titled, "When I'm on my knees" by Anita Corrine Donihue.

Dear Lord, hug the little girl within me - the little girl mistreated and abused.  Encircle me with Your everlasting arms.  Still my silent sobs.  Anoint my head with Your healing oil; free me from nightmares of memories.  Touch my scars with You healing stripes.  Soothe each muscle that suffered in anger and pain.  I know You suffered, too.  Piece together my broken heart.  Your hear bled and You died for me.  In sleepless nights, wrap me in Your comforting presence.  Let me rest in the shadow of You, the Almighty.  Hug the little girl in me as you cover me with Your feathers like a mother hen does her chicks.  I find refuge under Your wings.  Help me to face yesterday (wrong as it was), to forgive as You forgive me, and to look toward tomorrow with hope.  Your faithfulness will be my shield and rampart.  Le me not feel terror by night nor arrows that fly by day.  Take my weakness and grant me Your strength.  Make my feet swift at the dawning of a new day to do service for You.  I go now in praise.  But please, Lord, don't ever stop hugging me.

PRAISE GOD!

Heavenly Father, I pray that You forgive me for me sins.  Even the times that I don't talk or act like You are my Heavenly Father.  Lord thank you for hugging the little girl in me even when I don't pray daily.  Lord thank You for hugging the little girl in me, even when I don't think that I deserve to be hugged, in Jesus name, Amen.

If you enjoy reading the daily devotionals, you will enjoy by book titled, "Breaking Shackles" at www.createspace.com or www.amazon.com for less than $11.00.  Thank you for your contribution to Spiritual Growth for Women Ministry.

SIDE TRACKED

Good morning, Mighty Woman of God.  I speak blessings upon blessings over you.

We all get a little side tracked when it comes to our spiritual journey and that's okay.  In that stage of 'side tracked' the devil is not prejudice.  He doesn't care who you are, your racial background, your age or what your title is in church.

I started in the Prayer Ministry (Prayer Warrior) and I went to church every Sunday.  I went to Wednesday night bible study, I went to any classes that I felt would help me in my spiritual journey.  I graduated from a 16 week Teacher's Course and I attended Sunday School regularly.  Now that sounds like I had it all together.  Oh, and don't let me forget the Senor Citizens home I went to once a week for bible study and having a prayer closet that I stayed in prayer for a number of hours a day.  So what happened?

That title I have in front of my name doesn't make me immune to satan's tricks and lies.  I moved to Las Vegas to be closer to my family.  I used to go to the gambling boat a little bit and I loved it. So Vegas and you don't have to travel far to get to a slot machine.  The devil knew what I liked and he also knows what you like.  He will make it readily available to you.  Then I started smoking weed again.  I would have never thought that I would get that far away from God.  I love the Lord God so much, He was always in my heart.  The devil speaks to us by say, "You can't go back to being a minister.  You can't get back in the choir.  You can't go back to teaching the Word of God. God won't accept you back into His arms.  You have really messed up this time. You mind as well forget it.

The Lord has anointed me to be His voice, His mouthpiece for the ministry that I had on the inside of me.  I did not ask for the gifts that He has given me, He just knows what gifts you need to accomplish what His will is for you life.  God has anointed and appointed you for ministry work.  No matter what you may be going through in your life right now, God has a plan for your life.  The Holy Spirit has equipped you with everything that you will need for your spiritual journey.

The most important thing for you to remember when you are in that 'side tracked' mode is that you left the Lord arms.  He did not leave you, the Lord will never leave nor forsake you.  The problem is that we don't fully believe that.  We hear testimonies of others of how God has brought them through some challenges and difficulties, we believe that God is able, but in the back of our minds, we wonder will He do it for us. God will never unfriend you.  THE LORD GOD IS WAITING FOR YOU.

THE BEGINNING TO AN END

Good morning, Mighty Woman of God!  I pray that you are all blessed and highly favored and that you are looking, and expecting our Lord to watch over you and your family.

(2 Cor. 5:17-19) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

I remember the day that I got baptized into the Body of Jesus Christ.  I was expecting something so miraculous to happen to as soon as I was brought up from that water.  And since the bible says that I would be a new creature in Christ Jesus, I was expecting to be delivered from everything.  Actually, I was expecting to either be delivered and healed right away or burned right away.

Well needless to say, as soon as I was brought up from the water, I didn't feel any different.  So I said to myself, "That's okay, maybe I'll be the new creature once I leave the church and get home".  So, I am waiting to get home and throw my weed away and pour out what was left of my tequila, because I was a new creature and old things will become new.

So now I'm home and I think the best thing for me to do to start fresh with drinking, smoking cigarettes and everything else is to get rid of all those things; yes, finish the tequila, cigarettes, and whatever else and then I will start fresh on tomorrow.

Well that tomorrow took about a couple of months to actually come.  So what did I get when I was baptized?  I wasn't delivered from my sinful nature.  So what am I supposed to do now?  Well, it took me a while but I learned what I actually got when I was baptized.  Calm down, I'll tell you.  I got a beginning to an end.  I got a start to a finish.  What do I mean?  I had the chance to begin to change, begin to become that new creature in Christ because I was reconciled by God.  Being baptized was the beginning to an end of that sinful person that I was.  A start to a finish in the race that Paul talks about.  I was now in the fight for my life and not sitting on the sideline anymore.  It was a beginning to end my reckless behavior to my body, to my spirit-man.  LET US PRAY!

Heavenly Father I thank you for my life on today.  Forgive me for my sins and Father I am praying that You do for me what I am not able to do for myself.  Save me Lord Jesus from myself.  I pray that each day I strive more and more to be the woman that You saved, Father I pray that you remove from me anything that does not bring glory to Your name, and if I mess up, I know that I am reconciled to You therefore, there is no condemnation for me, in Jesus name, Amen!

IS YOUR CUP CLEAN?

Good morning, Woman of God.  I speak blessings upon your life on today and that God will give you peace and joy as you follow after Him.

(Psalms 19:12 and 51:10), "Who can understand his errors?  Cleanse thou me from secret faults.  Create in me a clean heart, O God: and renew a right spirit from me.

I was washing a cup the other day and I washed the inside really good, and just ran the rag over the outside of the cup.  Then I heard the Holy Spirit say, "Clean the outside of the cup just as well as you clean the inside".  My reply was, "Well, we don't really use the outside of the cup".  I did what the Lord told me to do, washing the outside as well as the inside.

Then I heard the Spirit of the Lord say, "That's the way my people are presenting themselves to the church and the world.  They only cleanse the outside of themselves because that is what people see first and my people are dirty on the inside".

My Testimony:  I used to be an Administrative Assistant at my job.  I dressed very well; suits, heels and the whole nine yards.  If you were to see me on my way to work, you would never ever think that I had a drug problem.  I was clean on the outside, little did anyone know how dirty I was on the inside.  Little did my employers or co-workers know that I was carrying joints laced with cocaine in my purse.  Little did anyone know that I would go buy drugs on my lunch hour.  This was a weekly routine for me.  You talk about someone that should have been dead and gone, it was ME.

Once I started attending church, I keep the same drug routine.  The only thing that changed was that I didn't get high before church.  Once I got home, that's when I would smoke and drink.  Don't think that my church was lacking anything, it was all about me.  Did I want to change, Sunday after Sunday getting in the deliverance line?  I expected something miraculous after laying out on the alter, slapped with oil, but that didn't happen.  It was still up to me to hold on to it.

One Sunday, the Sunday School Teacher was anointing everyone with oil before we went into the classroom.  Once I sat down, something so different began to happen to my spirit.  That's the way that I can explain it.  I began to cry, not only did I just cry, but I cried the whole time (not out loud, tears just streamed down my cheeks).  The minister placed a box of tissue on my desk, but she didn't say a word.  She just continued teaching the lesson.  I cried for one hour straight, I am not kidding, a whole hour.  The Holy Spirit worked on me the whole time.  Even after class, the minister didn't say a word.  That was the day that the Lord cleaned the inside and outside of my cup.  I was delivered, never drinking or doing any kind of drugs.

The ten-step programs did not keep me from using drugs, abusing what God gave to me.  It was the Spirit of the Living God, (the Holy Spirit) that cleansed me, washed me, and welcomed me in His loving arms.  If you're in this type of situation, keep going to church don't let the devil speak to you in your ear saying, "I don't know why you're going to church".  He will remind you of all your faults, making you feel guilty every day and every time you try to clean the inside (your spirit-man) of your cup.  Satan's job is to kill you with the spirit of shame and defeat. There is a saying when you go to AA or NA meetings, "Keep coming back, it works if you work it".  Keep going back to church, it works if you work it.

Woman of God, our Lord and Savior does not put a spirit of shame upon you.  No matter what you have done, He is always willing and waiting to forgive you.  The Lord wants to encourage, comfort and love on you.  His compassion for you is never-ending, it will never end.  God is full of mercy, it's up to you to receive His mercy; that's the first step for your deliverance.  I have heard women say that they don't attend church or pray because they know in their hearts that they will do the same thing again, smoking drugs, drinking, cursing and sleeping around.  Imagine how I must have felt day after day, Sunday after Sunday, Bible Study after Bible Study.

I pray that the Lord's message and my testimony will be encouragement and comfort.  I love you with the love of our Lord.  God bless you, my sisters.

PEER PRESSURE

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!
I speak blessings of peace and joy upon your lives.  I pray that you are all blessed and highly favored and that the ministry has been a blessing to you.

(1 Corinthians 15:58), Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm.  Let nothing move you.  Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Christians deal with a lot of peer pressure.  Once you have decided to dedicate your life to Jesus Christ, your friends and family that are not saved, will always try to pressure you into doing the same old things.  They don't want you to try to change.  For some reason, being a Christian can be intimidating to people that are not.  Peer pressure comes in because just like your friends don't want you to change your life, neither does Satan.  He will use your peers to try to keep you in darkness and keep you from getting delivered from things that you need to give up in order to live righteous before the Lord.  Christians deal with a lot of peer pressure because the enemy knows that he just lost a soul and Christ has gained a sheep.

Sometimes we tend to try to play both sides of the fence.  When want to keep our friends that we know we should not hang around, and we want to praise and worship the Lord.  It's very difficult to play both sides of the fence.  I tried it and it doesn't work.  What will happen is that the greater spirit will eventually win your soul.  If you are having difficulty dealing with peer pressure, keep going to church.  Keep your bible even closer because the enemy will try to use people to keep you from fulfilling God's purpose for your life.  Your peers don't even know that the enemy is using them to keep you from reaching your destiny in Christ.  If you are dealing with peer pressure, pray that the Lord God will put people in your life that will be able to keep you lifted up and will accept your decision to become a Christian.  Pray that God will lead you to the right people that will be able to make positive deposits in your life and not withdraws.

Once I decided to give my life fully to the Lord, I mean make a decision to stop partying, doing drugs and drinking the peers in my life changed.  God gave me some new friends.  God gave me a new dance and song in my heart.  I never looked down on people, I just knew what I wanted for my life and that was to fulfill God's purpose for me.

Sometimes we just need deliverance from people.  We need to stop listening to people that don't have our best interest in mind.  Maybe you have been friends with that person for many years, maybe your season with that person has passed.  We need deliverance from trying to please people and live up to other peoples' expectation of us.  Stick with the Lord, stay on course and pray for discernment that you can know the difference between a real friend or a friend that is only in it for their value and needs.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for keeping me in perfect peace while I am in transition to becoming more like you.  Father, I know that the road ahead can be difficult so I ask you Lord to keep watch over me and my family.  Father, I pray that you put positive people in my life that can help me and not hurt me, in Jesus name, Amen.

THE RIGHT INGREDIENTS

Mighty Woman of God, I pray that you are blessed and highly favored as you follow whole-heartedly after our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

(1 Corinthians 3:13-15), His work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light.  It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work.  If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward.  If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.
When I was 19 years old, I had a friend that knew how to make pizza from scratch.  She would buy all the ingredients she needed, including the toppings.  Everything was fresh, nothing out of the can. We would get together on the weekends and she always had that pizza.  Well, pizza is one of my favorite foods so I never complained about eating too much.  One day I asked her for her recipe.  She wrote down all the ingredients and step by step instructions to follow.  My first attempt to make that pizza was a disaster.  My second attempt was worst.  I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong, what step was I was missing.  Finally, she actually came to my house so that we could make the pizza together, then I got it right.  It turns out that I was not letting the yeast sit long enough to rise and I was letting the oven pre-heat, which was burning the crust way ahead of time.
Mighty woman of God, if you keep putting the same ingredients in your oven (you spirit), and things don't work out right, you have to change the way you put your ingredients together.  You keep doing the same thing wrong you will get the same results (a disaster).
Now, let's look at this from a spiritual point of view.  You are wondering why you seem to be going around in circles, going through the same bitterness, turmoil and challenges over and over again.  You are not changing the ingredients but you want different results.  You are asking God for the same things over and over again.  Not only that, but you need to look at your instructions again (read your bible).  If you keep doing what you're doing, you'll keep getting what you're getting.
You need to invite the Holy  Spirit to your kitchen (your spirit) and show you what ingredients to keep and what to throw out.  In other words, what are the things you need to let go of to receive God's best for you.  What ingredients do you need more of?  What friends to let go and which friends to keep.  Maybe you need more water (blood of Jesus, Word of God).  Maybe you need more oil (anointing).  Maybe you need more heat (the Holy Spirit), maybe you need more yeast (prayer), maybe you need less eggs (unevenly yoked, worldly things).
If you are missing some of the ingredients then every time you are tested by fiery darts of the devil you will not rise up.  Until you have the right ingredients in your oven (your spirit, body, heart), your yeast (spirit) will not rise.

A NEW ENGINE

Mighty Woman of God, I pray that you are blessed by today's message and that you are able to apply today's worth to your life.  Be blessed.

(1 Peter 3:3-5),  Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes.  Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful.

I can remember my first car.  I was so excited to have it that I drove all the way home singing a song to my car.  Mainly because I had no radio, but I was intended to use my pocket radio as soon as I got some AA batteries. LOL.  As soon as I got home, I ran upstairs to tell my parents to look out the window and see my new car, I was so proud.  They looked out the window and the look of wonder covered their faces because they didn't see the car that I could possibly be so eager to show off.  What they actually saw was a little 4-door, Nova, Chevrolet, covered in rust but what they didn't know was that it had a new engine.  I was still smiling, admiring my new car.

My point to this story is that sometimes not everyone sees things the way you do.  Sometimes not everyone will accept the new you.  They are looking at you from the outside and have no idea what you are actually working with on the inside.  They don't see what God sees on the inside of you.

You were the friend that they used to get high with, party with and gossip with, but the more you seek out Christ, the more He changes you from the inside.  So they are looking at you with their naked eyes but God is looking at you with His spiritual eyes.  God does not see your outside, nor does He care about your outside, God is concerned about your heart, whatcha working with on the inside.  You see, God doesn't care what you are wearing, how good your nails look or how much you paid for your jewelry.  God is so beautiful that you can never outlook Him.  You can spend thousands of dollars on your outward appearance and still you won't impress God.   You may be able to impress your friends, but to God, you are wearing cheap clothes and jewelry.

Woman of God, I know that some of you have friends and family members that are clean on the outside but their inner most parts are dirty.  They are unloving, talk about you behind your back, tell all your secrets and are no where to be found when you really need a real friend.  That is the total opposite of God.  His innermost parts are beauty, loving, kind, compassionate and friendly.  He will never tell your secrets, talk about you behind your back and He's always there, wherever you are when you need Him.

Just like my car, it had a new engine and it ran better than most new cars.  Once you start living your life according to biblical principals and glorify God with all your heart, it's like getting a new engine.  The outside may not look rich, but the inside is very rich and you won't every go bankrupt.  When tough financial times hit, your new engine will sustain all the challenges of life.

DO YOU HAVE A NEW ENGINE?  If not, you are going to run out of oil and your car will break down in the middle of the expressway.  Just like old and bald tires, you will eventually run out of air.  The last place you will want to break down at is in the middle of heavy traffic (in the middle of spiritual warfare).  PRAISE GOD!

Heavenly Father, I praise Your Holy name on today.  Father I pray that You get rid of anything on the inside of me that doesn't glorify You.  I pray that you create in me a clean and righteous heart.  I want my life to glorify You Lord.  From this point on Lord, I pray that you are working on the inside and I will yield myself to You.  In Jesus name, Amen!

THE STORMS OF LIFE

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God.  I pray that you are all blessed and highly favored by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

(Psalms 46:1-3) God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.  Therefore we will not fear, though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.  (Psalms 27:5) For in the day of trouble, He will keep me safe in His dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of His tabernacle and set me high upon a rock.

Peter notices Jesus walking on water. Peter says to Jesus, "If it is you Lord tell me to come to you on the water.” Jesus tells him to come and Peter begins walking toward Jesus.  But then Peter noticed the wind and he was afraid and began to sink, he cried out to the Lord and IMMEDIATELY Jesus reached out his hand and caught him then says, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?”

You are able to see the wind and the storm in your life. But do you see Jesus? As the wind blows harder, don't take your eyes off of Jesus. Peter had the faith to step out, but he lost his faith as soon as the winds picked up. He saw the wind, which means he took his eyes of Jesus.  Don't take your eyes off Jesus, our Savior, our King, the author, and finisher of our life.

We all go through storms in our lives. At times it could be so windy that we can't see what's right in front of us, bidding us to keep going.  Have you ever been driving and all of a student you are faced with very heavy rain?  The kind of rain that is faster than your windshield wipers can go.  I've had to pull over and wait until the rain slowed down before I could keep driving.  Today, the Lord wants you to stop driving and wait.  Pullover and wait, your storm will calm.  LET US PRAY!

Heavenly Father, I thank and praise You for Your strength in my life.  Lord, I want to walk in Your peace and joy on today.  Whatever is troubling me today, I now let go and give them to You.  The battle is not mined, it's Yours.  Lord Jesus as I go through the storms in my life, I will continue to have faith in You, that you are stilling the waters, so that I can continue to walk, in Jesus' name, Amen.

ASHAMED

Good Morning, Mighty Woman God!

I thank God for you, pray for you and your families daily.  I pray that you will be blessed today by the Lord's message.  This is one of those messages that I ask you to keep an open mind and also to be honest with yourself.

(John 7:8-11) So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.  And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.  And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience went out one by one, beginning at he eldest, even unto the last; and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.  When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?  She said, No man, Lord.  And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and in no more.

One day my closet friend and I were laughing and reminiscing about our past lives. We began recalling things that we used to be involved in that were not righteous before we decided to rededicated our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ.

As we were laughing, all of a sudden my friend said something to me that really hit home.  She said, "I was delivered from drugs, and you were delivered from being a whore monger".  I stopped laughing and said, "I wasn't a whore monger."  She then went on to say, "Yes you were, you were not married and you slept around".  It was at that time that I had realized how dirty I was until the Lord came and got me.

God accepted me and cleansed me from all unrighteousness.  I felt really ashamed.  I said to her, "You mean I am one of those people that the pastor speaks about when he says that some people were delivered from whoremonging".  I felt even worst.  Even though I was delivered, I felt horrible because I was always praising God for the person next to me.  I did not put myself in that category.  I was already in a lot of other categories, I didn't want to be in another one but I was.

You see, I dedicated my life to Christ when I was 19 years old, but as you well know, I backslide, fell, tripped, and stumbled.  It has taken me a while to get where I am today in the Lord, not saying that I have arrived because I have not.  One thing that God told me was that I was not the only woman on this planet that has been delivered from that particular demonic spirit.  The good thing is that I did feel ashamed.  I think that when you feel ashamed about what you are doing then God can work with you.  There's nothing wrong with feeling ashamed about your sin because if you are not ashamed, then you are still being deceived by the enemy.  It is the Holy Spirit that touches your heart and convicts you.  It means that God wants to help you go in a different direction than the path of destruction that you are currently traveling.

The scripture for today is mainly for me.  When the Holy Spirit told me to write about that part of my life, He gave me those scriptures.  I did not want to write this because I did not want to be judged or talked about by the women reading today.  I also know that some of you know my children and I did not want them to be ashamed.  God says, "Let her that is without sin, cast the first stone".  LET US PRAY!

Heavenly Father, I thank and praise you for the message today.  Lord, I pray that as your message goes forth that there is a release in the spirit realm for the women of God today.  I pray for their release in any situation they might be in that will cause them to feel ashamed.  Lord, I pray for their peace of mind today.  Lord, let Your will be done in their lives.  I pray that sexual sin will not have any part in their lives, in Jesus' name, Amen.

CIRCLE OF LIFE

Good morning, Mighty woman of God!  I pray that you are blessed and highly favored of our Lord Jesus Christ.  This blog is taken from my book, "Breaking Shackles".

The other day, I was enjoying one of my favorite movies.  As a writer, I am always on duty, and I am always looking for the next message from the Lord, with pen in hand.  I get a lot of these catchy titles from the Lord and what to write to enable the people of God to grasp what God is showing them or the point that He wants to get across.
Anyway, in the movie, there is a scene that the Lord had me to focus on.  He said, "That is what many of my people are doing this very day.  Okay, so let me set the scene for you.  There was a man int Sanity Ward of a Turkish prison.  He was not as insane as everyone else in that ward but he was getting there.  And the longer he remained there, the more he began to look and act like the others.
There was a pole in the center of this room and about 20 of the insane prisoner would just walk around this pole going clockwise.  All day long, they walked in a clockwise motion around the pole. They never spoke and they never changed directions.  The new guy finally decided that he was going to try to change the direction that they were walking.  He got in that circle and started walking in the opposite direction.  They didn't pay him any attention, they stayed on course.  At one point, he even tried to physically turn them around, but they just didn't get it.
Today God says to you, "I am trying to turn you around but you just don't get it.  You keep going around and around in circles.  You keep going back to what I have delivered you from. You just don't get it."  You're putting God in a box when you have the mindset that you have always done things like this or like that.  It's been working so why change.

God wants you to change course, change the directions that you are going because you are headed for a big fall.  If you do not change your ways you will only have gone around in circles, ending up in the same position (state of mind) that you started, when you first got saved.  If you don't change course, you will begin to look and act just like the Christians that only remember that they are saved on Sundays.
Some of you repeat the same prayer (repetitive prayer almost like you have it written down on a piece of paper.  You sing the same songs and say to yourself, I've been doing it this way all my life, why change now?  Why do something new?  You want God to do something new in your life, but you keep God in a box.  CHANGE COURSE, MY SISTER, CHANGE COURSE!
Heavenly Father, I thank you for loving me enough to speak to my heart today.  Father, I pray that you forgive me for my sins in the name of Jesus.  Father, I realize that I have not changed since the day that I first received you as my Lord and Savior and I am praying now Father that you help me to change the course and direction that my life is going.  Father, I do not want to remain in the same state, day after day.  My desire is that I get to know you more intimately through prayer and worship.  Today Lord, I am changing direction to move in the way that you need me to move, in Jesus name, Amen!

PRAISE GOD!

WRONG TURN

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

My prayer for you today is that you are under the umbrella of the Lord's peace.  I pray that you are blessed and highly favored of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I have noticed that most of you are between the ages of 25-30, so I want to remind you of God's grace and mercy that He will always have towards you, unfailing.

When I was in my early twenties, I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior (I was saved).  I thought that since I was saved that I wouldn't do anything else wrong in my life.  That all my sins were washed away.  I didn't think that I would have to participant in the washing of my sins.  When I realized that I had a lot of work to do in my life, things didn't go well for me right away.

Somewhere in my life, I made a wrong turn and I didn't know how to change the circumstances in that wrong turn.  I didn't know how to go back and follow after the Lord.  I thought that I was too far gone.  I got married at a very young age, 19.  After our divorce I met someone else that was very familiar with drugs.  I can't say that he made me do them, because I had a choice and the choice that I made was wrong.  Do you ever feel like everything is going wrong at the same time?  Well that's the way that I felt. I spent rent money and any money that I had on drugs.  I didn't know how to back up and take a different route, the one that the Lord wanted me to take.  The only thing that kept me sane was knowing that the Lord already knew that I would take a wrong turn.  God already knows whatever you are going to do and whatever you won't do before we do it.  Knowing that still didn't get me back on the right road.  I messed up so many times and had broken so many promises to the Lord.  Sometimes I felt like the Lord was sitting up in heaven just shaking His head at me.  The Lord knew them that I would not keep my promise, but I still continuously made them, time after time.

Now let me fast forward.  I am 48 years old and I am just now starting to finally get my life together.  I am also able to keep some of my promises to the Lord.  But I thank Him everyday that He is not done with me.  One day I asked my daughter if she was embarrassed by some of the blogs I write when it concerns my past life.  She said, "no mom, I think about it not how you go in, it's how you come out".

Woman of God, the reason why I have given you a short testimony of my life is so that you can come to the realization that the Lord knows all about you and every thing that you will do way before you do it.  The Lord's grace and mercy is what we live by.  You don't have to be perfect, you just need to have purpose.  What I mean by that is that you just have to have it in your heart that you will try to do better.  Your main purpose in life is to get to the point where you aren't breaking any promises and if you do, don't be hard on yourself just keep going.  I want you to know that if you make a wrong turn have your heart set on your will to do right, that is what the Lord is looking for.  You will never be perfect but the Lord will accept you striving towards perfection.  As they say in drug rehab, take it one day at a time, keep coming back.  If you keep coming back, taking one day at a time, the Lord can still use you in whatever state that you are in because He knows your heart.  PRAISE THE LORD, AMEN!
