FIGHT OR FLIGHT

God Bless You, Mighty Woman of God!

I speak blessings of peace, love and joy upon your life.  I speaking blessings of the Lord will overtake you as you seek Him daily.

(Daniel 10: 12-13) The he continued, "Do not be afraid, Daniel, Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.  But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty one days.  Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.

Woman of God, I will give you the understanding of that scripture as the Holy Spirit gives it to me.  I want you to understand that scripture, because it is one of the reasons why God wants us to be prayerful at all times.  Daniel was an interpreter of dreams.  The king had many dreams that he did not understand and they vexed his mind.  He was told that Daniel could interpret any of his dreams and Daniel did so, only after he had prayed to God for the answer.  Daniel had been praying for the interpretation of a particular dream that the king had.  Now in this scripture, Gabriel tells Daniel that the moment he started praying God heard him and Gabriel was to deliver the message.  The prince of Persian is Satan.  Gabriel is telling Daniel that he had been fighting in the spirit realm for 21 days and Gabriel had to get the chief prince angel Michael to help him.

Now, I want you to understand that there is always a fight in the spirit realm over you.  Sometimes the things that you have prayed to God for might take some spiritual warfare.  That is what was happening to Gabriel while trying to bring Daniels message from God.  There are times in your life were the issues that you have brought before God will take some spiritual warfare.  Your blessings may be held up because of Satan (the prince of Persian).  You need to have the wisdom to know when you need to fight.  Daniel continued to pray until he got an answer from God.  You need to pray until something happens.  God wants you to know that he heard your prayer but this time you are going to have to fight and not flight.  When you recognize that the enemy is in your territory messing up your stuff, you need to fight and not flight.  Don't ever let the enemy gain a foothold in your life, over your children, over your finances or your mind, fight and don't flight.  God have given us the weapons of warfare to fight the enemy and Yes, the angels in heaven are fighting for you. Praise God!  LET US PRAY!

Heavenly Father, I am praying for the women in the ministry today.  Lord, I am praying for them to have strength in You.  Lord, I speak the power of the Holy Spirit upon them in the name of Jesus.  Father, I pray for their mindset on today, that they keep their minds stayed on You.  I speak blessings of favor upon their lives in the name of Jesus.  And by the power of the Holy Spirit given to me I rebuke the enemy in their homes in the mighty name of Jesus.  Lord that you be glorified in their lives, Amen.

ARE YOU WHOLE

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I speak blessings of peace and joy into your life on today.  May the power of the Holy Spirit continue to guide you and make your paths straight.

What is wholeness?  Sometimes it takes a long time maybe even centuries to not only learn but develop wholeness in our lives.  There's our childhood which guides us through to our adulthood.  It is in our adulthood where we begin to learn about ourselves.  We learn about the things we enjoy doing as well as the things we prefer not to be solely involved.  We go through difference changes and challenges with having children and employment.  In some cases, our children have the ability to make us seem whole, but once they leave the home are you still whole?  In some cases, our profession that we've chosen seem to make us feel whole, but if you lose that job, are you still whole?  In another instance, our marriage may make us feel whole, but if you get divorced, are you still whole?

Woman of God, I would like to attempt to get you to a level of wholeness within yourself.  Neither of those examples should make a woman feel whole.  It has to be something that God has placed on the inside of you that will make you feel wholeness.  I have learned that God has not only given us a measure of faith but also a talent.  That particular talent is what makes a woman achieve wholeness.  I believe that any talent that God has imparted in us has to be brought out to enable that wholeness to be fulfilled.  God did that on purpose.  Without God you will never find out what talent He has given you and therefore never reaching your full potential as a woman; therefore you will never achieve wholeness.

Wholeness is achieving a level in the inside of you that makes you feel like if you are not doing that particular thing, you feel empty.  You have to find that which God has placed on the inside of you to make you feel like you are living.  It is the difference between living or just existing.  No person, place or thing can make you feel whole.  People, places and things can pass away or cease to existence, therefore you cannot depend on them to get you to the level of wholeness.  If you have not yet achieved that level of wholeness in your life, pray and ask the Lord to reveal it to you.  Ask the Lord, what you should be doing to glorify Him.  Your wholeness depends on finding Gods given talent in you.  LET US PRAY!

Heavenly Father, I thank and give you all praise and honor on today.  Lord I ask you to reveal to me the talent that you have placed in me to use for your glory.  Lord, I pray that you help me to reach a level of wholeness in my life.  Lord, I realize that people can't make me happy, I have to depend solely on you.  Lord, I want to learn how to use the talent that you have given me, in Jesus name, Amen.

IN LOVE WITH LOVE

Good Morning, Mighty Women of God!

I thank God for you and the ministry, "Spiritual Growth for Women," God is definitely up to something as the ministry continues to grow.

Well, it's time to talk about me.  I don't mind doing it because I have to let you know that no matter what the circumstance is in your life, God can turn it around, it you are a willing vessel.  I also think that God is renewing my spirit every time I am honest with you about my struggles.

If you have been reading my blogs since January, you might have realized that I have often spoken about my marriage.  The thing that I have not spoken to you about is something that I don't feel proud of in many ways.  I have talked about being in an abusive marriage.  I have talked about my husband that passed away, and about my current husband.  I got married when I was 17 years old, he was in the Navy and the distance didn't work out.  My oldest son, Joseph came out of that marriage.  We had joint custody and they have a great relationship to this day.  My second marriage was because I didn't think I deserved any better.  My daughter Brittnae was born in that marriage.  He was abusive and I got on drugs and in the world for a long time.  My third marriage came because my late husband helped me get out of the abusive relationship.  I felt obligated, but loved him.  I spent 12 years with him and didn't let him get to know me until six months before he passed away.  I am currently married and I really want to get this right.  I mean the love and everything.

I realized that I was in love with the idea of being in love.  I don't really know what all that entails because of the fact that I never really gave it a chance.  I was starting to when my husband passed away, but do to past hurts and disappointments, very fearful.  That is the kind of hurt that I could not deal with or ever forget.  I was never really in love.  But do we really know what that means?  I think movies really throw us for a loop with that one.

Anyway, I am learning how to keep my guard down and get to know my husband.  I love him but I am still holding something back, that says, "you can't touch this part of me."  I have started listening to the Lord more concerning this situation.  My husband takes very good care of me and my son.  There is nothing he won't do for me.  He comes to me full of excitement about his class and I sometimes don't even look at him when he's talking to me.  God is working on that part of me.  I have to start looking at him and stop looking at the t.v. for a chance.  He's excited and whether or not I share the same excitement, I should be happy about anything that makes him happy.  I am learning alot about him and I am trying to let him get to know me.  You see, I don't want to be in love with the idea of being in love; I want to really be in love.  He is my husband and I decided seven years ago that I didn't want to make the same mistakes I did before.  I wanted another chance to get it right and God has given that to me, now I have to do the rest.  It's hard, but I'm okay with that.

My message through all of this is:  What is love to you?  Sharing, share yourself, take a chance, trust God for your husband.

IT'S TIME TO CHOSE

Good morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I thank God for each of you and "Spiritual Growth for Women Ministry".  May God continue to bless you and your family.

(1Cor. 15:33-34) Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character.  Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God, I say this to your shame.

I have heard someone say that they were a Christian but were not practicing at the moment.  What does that mean?  Not practicing.  In my opinion, it simply means that they consider themselves to be a Christian, but at the moment they are just doing their own thing.  And whenever they decided to be practicing Christians again, then they will ultimately have to change there behavior.  It's not just Christians, I have heard someone tell me that they spouse was Muslim, but not practicing at the time.  I just don't understand how that works.  The only thing that I can think of is that they believe that they have a choice on when to glorify God and when not to glorify God.  Now are you a Christian on Sunday and Monday through Friday you allow the enemy to have free reign over your life?

Woman of God, don't be misled, if you are keeping company with Satan Monday through Saturday, he is still with you on Sunday.  As I stated before, the devil will go with you to church.  Only in the movies, is he afraid of churches.  He does not care about you attended church services once a week, because he knows you are his the rest of the days.  You cannot play both sides of the fence, you have to make a conscience discussion to either follow Christ or Satan.  Suppose Christ comes back on a Tuesday, I guess that will leave you out of the Kingdom of Heaven.  I don't mean to sound so harsh but sometimes reality is very harsh.  I want you to be free from the wiles of the devil and claim to be a Christian every day of the week.  I also want you to understand that being a Christian is not a religion, it is an action word.  Simply meaning to be Christ-like, or at least striving towards that goals on a daily basis.  I understand that sin is in the world and we are all sinners in the eyes of God, but we can at least strive towards perfection.

If you are not going to strive to be Christ-like seven days a week than please don't make matters worst by saying, you are a Christian, but not practicing at the moment, it makes us practicing Christians look bad.  I am not going to apologize if I have offended someone today, that just means that you are on the right track in deciding to be a practicing Christian.  If you are totally committed to God than He is totally committed to keeping you His.  Jesus says, He doesn't want to leave not one sheep behind, you are His sheep and He wants you.  Make a choice, determine to strive to be more like Christ on a daily basis.  Try to keep company with people that have the same goal as you do, when it comes to Christianity.  If possible, attend church more than once a week and always read the Word of God.  This will no doubt keep you on the right track.  It may be time for you to change people, places, and things in your life.  If you have strayed away from the Lord, let's make today a day of restoration.  Rededicate your life to Christ, He's waiting for you.  LET US PRAY!

Heavenly Father, I give you praise on today and I thank you for loving me.  Lord, remove anything from me that you can't use for your glory.  Lord, I don't want to just practice to be more like you but I want to strive towards perfection.  Forgive me Lord if I have not presented myself to be a child of God, in Jesus name, Amen.

EASE ON DOWN THE ROAD

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I pray that you are all in great spirits and in great health and I thank God for each of you.

I come up with these catchie titles from the Lord. I could be doing dishes or having a conversation with someone and something will catch my attention for a title to catch your attention.  I keep my devotional book with me all the time so I can be ready to write.

Well today is going to be an easy day.  I was thinking about the title God gave me and He always challenges me to make it for spiritual edification.  Since we've all seen the Wizard of Oz, I want you to put on that spiritual cap and go along with me for a minute. 

Assuming that you are Dorothy and you are trying to find Jesus Christ. You have already defeated a demon and now a bigger one is attempting to destroy your soul.  An angel comes to you and tells you that you have to follow a certain path to get to the person (minister) that will give you the directions to Christ. You have run into a lot of obstacles along the way, but you keep your course.  You run into three friends and tell them you are going to find Jesus Christ, they have decided follow you.  You get to this person, (minister) that is supposed to show you the way to the Jesus Christ only to find out that they have no idea how to get you there.  They have been putting up a front for the people (congregation) and have only been taking their money and leading them nowhere.  Now you and your friends are discouraged because you thought this person had all the answers only to find out that they are worst off than you are.  Here's the end of the story: Now you are crying because you had so much faith, followed the right path and did everything that you where supposed to do and feel like you have no way to Jesus Christ.  An Angel comes and tells you that "you always had the power to get to the Lord by yourself."

God wants you to know two important things: (1) no matter what someones title in the church is He is God, not them.  He is the One and only One that you should be following.  If the minister/pastor is not doing what he is supposed to be doing as far as feeding God's flock, then you have an obligation to yourself to study and follow the right path to Christ. (2) You have the power to get to Jesus Christ yourself.  It does not take a minister/pastor to get you there.  Although never we are to gather together and fellowship with one another, it is your responsibility to study the Word of God.  I don't care how great you think your pastor is, he can only be a guide to you.  You have to pray and read and according to the bible "study to show thyself approved."  (1 John 2:27) But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. The anointing that John is speaking about is the Holy Spirit.  Your pastor is not going to be standing with you when you are called home by the Lord.  LET US PRAY!

Heavenly Father, I thank and praise You for Your grace and mercy towards me.  Lord, I pray that Your Holy Spirit abide in me as I study Your Word to shew myself worthy.  Lord, I thank you that you have given yourself freely that I may come boldly to the thrown of grace.  Lord, teach me all that I will need to learn of you more and more daily, in Jesus name, Amen.

CHARACTER TRAITS

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I thank God for each of you daily, and pray that you have had and are still having a learning and growing experience since you have been reading my blog spot.

For this reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.  For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. . . . . For if you do these things, you will never fall, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (2Peter 5-8, 10).

Woman of God, you should have so much faith in God, that it brings about the goodness in your character.  The goodness in your character should bring about more knowledge of who Christ is and should be in your daily life.  Self-control can be obtained by knowledge.  You should strive to the point in your life where your gain so much knowledge through the Word of God that you will have self-control.  Self-control when people or circumstances in your life takes a different route than you planned.  With this self-control (able to control your emotions), you will preserver through life's difficult situations.  The obstacles that Satan puts in your path to destroy your character.  Although the enemy has put so many obstacles in your life you will preserver through them because of the godliness that you have developed.  That godliness brings about the brotherly kindness in you and ultimately produces the love that you have for yourself and people.  That love is the primarily reason for your everyday living.

If you are equipped with those characteristics in your every being you will be effective and productive when it comes to in your knowledge of Christ.  You will be effective and productive in your prayer life, and spiritual well-being.  You cannot fail with those characteristics because it will bring about the presence of the Holy Spirit.  With the presence of the Holy Spirit in your everyday life there is no failure.  There is no failure in Christ.  You should desire each one of those character traits in you.  In doing so, you work on one at a time.  This is definitely a process but attainable.  Set goals in your life to work on each of those traits and before you even realize it; you will be so powerful in Christ Jesus.  I say the word powerful, because you will need all the power and strength to fight the enemy and any obstacles that he will put in your path.  This lesson may be a little deep for some of you but I promise you that you can grow spiritually if you work hard at attaining those character traits.  LET UP PRAY!

Heavenly Father, we praise and honor you today.  Lord that you give me strength and wisdom as to obtaining the character traits that I should have to become effective in this world and see you in the eternal kingdom.  Lord, I thank you for spiritual growth daily, and I ask you to remove anything in me that you cannot use for your glory.  I marvel you and glorify your holy name, in Jesus name, Amen.

IT'S NOT HOW YOU GOT IN...IT'S HOW YOU COME OUT

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

"It's not how you got in, it's how you get out!"  We have been through a lot of difficult circumstances in our lives and sometimes we may wonder "how did I get myself into this mess."  That is one thing that we can never figure out but we ponders on it at times.

Woman of God, I want to encourage you today, that no matter what type of situation you are dealing with that you have prayed about, you will come out.  You can overcome any circumstances in your life that you feel you need to find your way out.

I pray that you are in a church that not only teaches the Word of God, but also knows how to usher in the presence of the Holy Spirit for the edifying, and building up the saints.  You went in the church dirty and muddy, but you came out fill with the Holy Ghost.  You went the church with a bad attitude, you came out in a spirit of humility.  You went in the church always using profanity, you came out speaking in tongues.  You went in the church, with a live in boyfriend but you came out a married woman.  You went in the church in sorrow, but you came out full of joy.  You went in the church with a heavy heart, but you came out in a spirit of praise.  You went the church no job, but you came out with a job and benefits.  You went in the church with unruly children, but you came out with Godly household.  So you see, its not how you got in...it's how you got in.

I want you to know that you can come out of any negative things that may be going on in your life right now.  The key is that you have to first acknowledge that you have a problems in that area.  If you don't admit you have an issue, then you will never break free out of bondage.  Anything that keeps you from reaching your full potential in your spiritual life and personal life.  Now that you have acknowledged that you are in a mess. . . it's time to come out and be blessed.  So lets not worry about how you got in, let's just worry about how you are going to come out. God has promised to protect, deliver and provide for His people. This includes you.  You already have the Lord's protection.  It is God who causes you to triumph.  God Himself is looking after you, never taking His eyes off you as His dear servant.  The journey may sometimes get rough, and you may be attacked and abused, but God never forsakes you.  FORSAKE = To give up, or abandon.
