TROUBLE THE WATERS

Good Morning, Mighty Woman of God!

I thank and praise God for each of you; you are continually in my prayers.  I pray that the Lord's messages are spiritually enrichings to your souls.

(John 5:2-8) Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.  In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.  For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.  And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

This certain man had been at the pool waiting for a miracle for 38 years.  Every season when the angel would trouble the waters, someone else would get their blessing of healing.  This man was too slow and he also depended on someone else to get him to the pool before anyone else.  Because of his infirmity, he was not able to pick himself up and get into the pool first.  Jesus approaches him and asked why he was still sitting at the pool after all these years.  The man states that every time he tries to get there first someone else beats him to their blessing.  The man also tells Jesus that he did not have anyone to put him in the pool so that he could be made whole.  Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed and walk.

Woman of God, Jesus wants you to 'trouble the waters'.  If you have been waiting a long time to be blessed in any aspect of your life; it's time for you to 'trouble the waters' yourself.  You can not afford to wait on a friend to help you out of your situation, you have to press your way through your circumstances.  Jesus was not unknowledgeable about the man's infirmity or how long he had been waiting for a healing.  Jesus also knows how long you have been waiting for your blessing and he wants you to rise and walk with Him.

Why are you waiting for someone else to help you?  Why are you still in the same spot where you were when you first got saved?  Why do you think that your friends can or even desire to help you? Sometimes your friends will rather have you sitting and waiting with them, rather than see you get up without them.  Sure, they may say that they only want whats best for you, but sometimes they are not friends, but only acquaintances.  Acquaintances will sit with you in your mess.  Friends will try to pick you up and lead you in the right direction, so that you will be whole.  Why not make up in your mind to 'trouble the waters' for yourself.  Take the first step towards Jesus, grab Him by the hand, pick up your bed and walk.  LET US PRAY!

Heavenly Father, I give you all praise and honor on today.  Lord I am tired of waiting for someone else to make a difference in my life.  Lord, show me how to depend solely on You and my Lord and Savior.  My miracle worker, my healer.  Lord, I pray for wisdom and knowledge concerning my circumstances and how to walk out of it.  Lord, I pray that you teach me how to trouble the waters so that I may be made whole, in Jesus name, Amen.
